Philosophy, Religion & Society / Re: President Joe Biden
« on: May 10, 2021, 06:38:15 AM »
As the audit continues in AZ, we now know Biden stole all the battle ground states and in fact lost the election to Trump. Regardless, sleepy Joe won't make it to the end of term and probably end of year as his dementia is really kicking in. Joe ain't my President, Obama in the basement is...LMAO  What a train wreak !!!

Why should we trust the audit?

The main auditor appears to be someone who has never audited an election before now, and whose CEO is a rabid conspiracy theorist.

Why would it be necessary for anyone to ever consider doing doing this?

Because those who did it found a remarkable consistency between measured and observed results.

Again, you seem to accept an 'x/y' co-ord system, using degrees to indicate lat/long, while not accepting RE; so if degrees are used on an FE model, where would you draw the angle?

Any x-y coordinate system could just as well be measured in degrees.

... but where would you place the angle? The point where the two vertices or lines meet?

EDIT to add image

Conventional RE geometry holds that the meeting point is at the centre of the Earth. The green dots indicate the latitude of London above the equator, the red is the latitude of Edinburgh above London, and the sum of the two is the latitude of Edinburgh above the equator.

Can you draw an indication of where you see the angle forming in FE geometry?

You got nothing here, even failing to acknowledge lat/long as an x-y coordinate system, which it plainly is.

Latitude and longitude are measured in degrees. Degrees are a unit of measurement for angles. An angle is the displacement between two straight vectors or lines.

If you measure displacements between two places in degrees, on any kind of FE system or model, where do you draw the angle?

And we could observe over land and rivers, not just oceans.

Like this - the view over the Forth Estuary in Scotland. Ignore the green annotations; they were for another discussion elsewhere

The waves cannot be obscuring the tops of the bridge towers, for the tallest ones are 210m tall.
The waves cannot be obscuring the tops of the hills beyond. They are approx 400m tall.
The observer was at 210m elevation.

Having just changed the world USA, I am sure they had a firm grip on the concept of change.

Fixed that for ya.

Looking at things which are at the limit of vision, or of the optical device in use, will always be held up for dispute.

Why not look at things which are closer and clearer, and apply measurement, geometry and trigonometry to them, to see if you can decide whether or not these are consistent with either flat or not?

"The first ten are based on the natural order of things."

In short, what is this "natural order of things" to which you refer?

It is because of ocean waves that the distant views get block. On lakes you should be able to see far distances.

Yes, but we're merely talking about observation of things like flags, islands, lighthouses etc. that we can see.

And we could observe over land and rivers, not just oceans.

Celestial navigation was based on the fact of a celestial sphere, not an earthly sphere.

How could you map/determine a celestial sphere without the underlying land/sea mass from which you observe it also being a sphere?

Surely FE dictates a celestial hemisphere, not a sphere...

And they need no revision or amending.

You have a set of amendments to the constitution, but assert that the amendments don't need to be amended?

So ... the constitution was amended by the amendments, but the amendments are sacrosanct and need no change?

On light bending, look into what Dr. Edward Dowdye has to say: https://sciencewoke.org/nasa-scientist-says-coronas-bend-light-not-gravity/

Is it agreed that Rowbottom asserted straight light rays?

IMG above

It strikes me that we have better optics available than in Rowbottom's day, and that the Wiki and ENAG Workshop could be updated with improved versions which don't rely on line drawings as proof.

Unless some enterprising zetecist has already done this ... ?

Often the bs (which is not to say certainly "lies") came directly from nasa which consistently continued to claim, decade after decade for approaching 3/4 of a century now, "it's just a little bit further than you can get to, but trust us - it's totally there".

Will you be keeping an eye on the upcoming privately-funded SpaceX mission? A private buyer has booked the SpaceX Dragon for a vanity trip, along with two other private citizens, a trip which will take them in an orbit 75 miles above the ISS.

There may well be some footage looking down upon it, framed against the Earth, or part thereof, and maybe this might be of interest to those who have claimed (not necessarily in these forums) that the ISS is just "a light in the sky".

SpaceX is not equal to NASA.

Can you provide a source for this quote, or an approximation of it?

Posting a video of surface tension after effects as being relative to gravity is the only dishonest thing being presented here.

... but you didn't ask for "relative to gravity". You said "Water rolls off any ball. Period."

Water did fall off the ball. It sure didn't stick to the side of the ball.

Try it with a few different types; basketball, football, squash, ping-pong, golf, globe model, tennis ball, etc.

Immerse in water, then remove. Even if the majority of the water rolls to the lower hemisphere, and remains as droplets, if the side or upper hemi is still wet, water is sticking to the ball.

The test is to take dry tissue paper, and touch the upper surface. If the tissue paper gets wet, water is sticking to the ball.

Seriously. Go try.

The Former Guy currently lives in a country club/hotel, and occasionally addresses a few folk at functions held there with stories about how he wuz robbed of his former role.

EDIT to add video - start around 30secs, and observe as the band wait 'patiently' for security to remove the stage invader....

Meanwhile, as he lives there, members of his party try to claim that they are the party of  "the blue collar working man", seemingly unaware that the working man would be turned away at the gate of the aforementioned country club.

Never heard of him. Are we just bring up allegations against different people who may be associated with a political party? I can do that.

He is notable enough to have a Wiki. We know you like Wikis, Tom, so...

Or, to put it another way, you cannot directly upload images from your own computer or device.

As was said, you have to put them in a webpage, or on an image-specific  hosting site such as Imgur, Flickr, etc.

The measurements may vary, but so what if they do?

An analogy might be that the measurements of tidal levels at ports such as Hull or Portsmouth give varying results, but at the end of the day, your boat still floats up to the harbour wall...
