From the concert in Red Square today celebrating Russia's annexation of Ukraine provinces ...

Whatever your politics, this boy can sing.

So freedom means subject to no laws?  Does that mean you, as a human, will not be free unless you live in a place where there is no human civilization?
I live in a civilisation and like everyone else, I trade a little liberty for security. The fact I can't go about killing whomever I like, is a restriction on my freedoms, but also reduces the likelihood that someone will try to kill me. A bear on the other hand, can kill other bears at it likes.

A bear is not subject to any laws. A bear is free.

A bear won't be allowed to set up life in the middle of your nearest park.  It will be either relocated or killed.
Because a bear has rivals. But it isn't avoiding the park because it respects other people's property rights and fears legal recompense. I could just as easily be forced from a park by an enormous aggressive dog that isn't on a lead. That doesn't mean the dog is my master.

Sure, the bear has rivals ... but that isn't the same thing. A King has rivals who may conquer his empire and kill him. Doesn't make the king subjugated.

9 pages over 3 weeks and I didn't express an opinion. I feel like I must have had an opinion. I'm guessing I must have been fed up with Markjo and thought 'let him rot'. I can be quite petty, you know.

It is done.
May God forgive us. 🙏

So it is said, and so it should be done.

It's been slow the last couple of days.
Because I thought you were going to be one of the first Doordash millionaires. I'm sad for you.  :'(

I've never had the expectation that I'd be a millionaire doing any job, let alone DoorDash. If you thought that were possible, maybe you're just slow?

Quote from: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-46846467
Britons like to think they have a "special relationship" with the US, based on a common language and cultural, historical and political ties.

But, according to one of the UK's most respected polling companies, there's one chasm the English language can't always bridge - the British love of passive-aggressive statements.

In the words of YouGov, "half of Americans wouldn't be able to tell that a Briton is calling them an idiot".
Can't argue with science. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Are you trying to tell us that Doordash isn't the next bitcoin and that I won't find Logan Paul and Kanye West Doordashing as a side hustle? Because I thought you were going to be one of the first Doordash millionaires. I'm sad for you.  :'(

Suggestions & Concerns / Allow Markjo Lounge access
« on: February 05, 2022, 06:57:59 PM »
I hadn't considered that Markjo couldn't access the Lounge. It's a social forum and nothing more.

He obviously has an interest in some of those things. He has expressed an interest in Wordle and it'd be nigh on impossible to shit up that thread. He'd probably enjoy hearing about how stiff I am as well.

I motion that on compassionate grounds, he gets Lounge access that can be removed at any time if he keeps talking about my mother's breasts.  >o<

I see this as a small compassionate concession to prove that the problem is him, not us and that he does deserve his eternal punishment. Its not everyone else who is just cruel to him.

Scotland is up 7–3 after 20 minutes. This is shaping up to be an excellent day.
A blip. England will blow them off the field once they get going.

Why are you assuming that the only method of observation would involve getting in a boat and being in the vicinity?
Because it is a very long swim.

Also, why are you referencing the Space Shuttle? That program ended in 2011 I believe. This is a discussion about the ISS.
I meant space station. Are you perfect? No. you don't even know what shape the earth is.  >:(

Also, can't you read?
I think we should probably end this thread here.
This dead horse has been flogged enough.

Actually, of the 4 the bottom right is plausible.
My thoughts exactly. I think we should probably end this thread here. We'll chalk this up as another win for the flat earth society.

OK, everybody out. Show's over.

I don't want you to think that here at tfes.org we don't take all your suggestions seriously. So I have conducted a SWOT analysis of your proposal. I hope you can see how I have come to the conclusion that I should probably just stay at home.

Yes. And has been explained it would probably make quite a few big holes and there would be no certainty about exactly where. A remote spot in the ocean is a more sensible choice.
Well Russia is a big place. Pepper Russia with it.

The ISS is not like a helium balloon. You can’t just let go and it floats off somewhere, never to be seen again.
It's not real. This is like explaining to me the powers that a wizard does and does not have in the lore of the daft book you are reading. It's just fantasy.

If NASA is saying that this event will happen in 2031, why not simply prepare for that event so that when said event is "supposed" to happen, than the FE community could use observation to disprove such an event?

Also
It's pretty obvious why they picked a remote point - there will be a fairly big degree of error with an unpowered object falling through the atmosphere.
So GoldCashew wants me to get in a boat and be in the vicinity when a million pieces of space shuttle come reigning down with a "fairly big degree of error".

How about I don't volunteer for this suicide mission, thank you?  >:(
