A quick look through the Wiki shows there is no real explanation
Apparently some sort of effect from the “north and south celestial systems grinding together like gears”
https://wiki.tfes.org/The_Coriolis_EffectNot sure how that works as if the earth is flat, then the stars are fixed, relative to each other, so they cannot be grinding together surely? And not quite sure how that makes the air move?
OR
It is the rotation of the Globe earth that causes the effect??
Put the above to Occams Razor.
Which of the above makes the least amount of assumptions?
The FE theory, which assumes the earth is flat, Assumes that the stars are near the sun on a flat plane, Assumes that the southern and Northern celestial systems grind together like gears, and the biggest Assumption, that there is some sort of force that affects the way the winds blow, but cannot describe it.
OR
Let’s humour the FEers here, Assumes the earth is round (although science knows it to be so) and describes How the rotation of the earth affects the general circular way the winds blow. (Along with the pressure gradient from high to low pressure)
I theorise that the RE stands up better to Occams Razor
