Flat Earth Theory / Re: questions about day/night sky

It's your distance from the sun that makes the sun set through a Dome.  And if you compare the atmosphere to a vacuum, you'd have to admit it's pretty thick.

I will provide you with all of the answers!  just kidding...

The answer is that the sun and stars are above earth at all times.  And without any atmosphere, your arguments hold true - You should see the sun from all three states, there should be no sharp termination line of sunrise or sunset, and people from around the world should probably see every star everywhere provided they are high enough in the sky.

But, once you place a dome beneath you and celestial objects, then refraction changes their image.

It explains why the Sun sets quickly from Missouri to Utah and why you see stars normally blocked by the sun coming into view after sunset, etc.  I can't explain the mechanism behind it, other than it is demonstratable on a small scale.

Here's a link explaining the general picture of earth and the solar system.

Jimster I will try to answer your questions but a similar Q &A about sunrise/set was here to start.  https://forum.tfes.org/index.php?topic=18506.0

Like a frisbee, the Earth wobbles once a year.  And stack you cannot assume your compass will point south on this map...  A Magnetic North Pole is where field lines are vertical to earth.  And I like this map bc the North lands create a basin to hold the majority of Earth's water like a tub, which makes a less dramatic ice wall more realistic to holds Earth's remaining water.

There's a good thread about this subject here https://forum.tfes.org/index.php?topic=18607.0

I assume the 4 months are around Oct, Nov Dec, Jan?  That would tilt the Earth away from the sun and center it more over Antarctica which allows it to be seen all day.

What sort of tilt are you referring to?

And I still don't understand if I want to fly due north from sydney to tokyo, if north is all around the rim of the disk, which north am I traveling on? Which way am I traveling if I fly from sydney to sao paulo?

Scomato explained what I meant by tilt, except seasonal variations in weather are caused by earth wobbling rather then orbitting the sun once a year.

For your second question, from Sydney to Tokyo, you would need to look up the lines of longitude you must travel along - in this case its 150'E...  ..

From Sydney to Sao Paulo, you travel South towards Antarctica then North again to Brazil using lines of latitude and longitude as a reference.

I'm sorry to OP if we digressed from Circumpolar travel possibility to "How actually to fly a plane pole to pole in different earth dimensions."

Stack, navigation isn't difficult if you just follow "north" on your compass and take into account different land masses on a FE Map (particularly the far north).  We went into more detail about this here:  https://forum.tfes.org/index.php?topic=18499.msg245481#msg245481

I also made an image explaining where the north and south poles are on a Flat Earth.  I think a Flat Earth like ours resembles an Axial Magnetic Disc with both Poles located above and below the center.

Misterkami - There is an ice wall or sorts around the perimeter of this map...  It begins as the Sea Ice and Glaciers you see the farther north you go.

8
Technically it's not impossible - Field lines can expand from the center and wrap around the earth (or something) ...   Navigationally it would be tough since there's uncharted land out there and like I said, if you go far enough North people might assume it's the North Pole.

Right. Except Pole to Pole circumnavigation trips have occurred.
Looking at the routes of those, they don’t go straight on at the South Pole
That do not happen to be pole to pole.
Ok. Well how about you look the route of one of them up and show how it maps to a flat earth map.
Well, how about eliminating what you wrote to begin.

You write, "Pole to Pole circumnavigation trips have occurred."

Immediately after that, you write, "Looking at the routes of those, they don’t go straight on at the South Pole."

Meaning that is not pole to pole.

Obviously, since the maps and charts used were flat, it worked just fine.

Apparently this guy is pretty convinced he flew Pole-to-Pole:

San Diego Pilot Completes ‘Pole to Pole’ Circumnavigation
"San Diego resident Robert DeLaurentis, an aviator and former Navy officer, described his unique journey Wednesday after completing a nine-month circumnavigation from the South Pole to the North Pole to spread a message of peace."
https://timesofsandiego.com/life/2020/08/12/san-diego-pilot-completes-pole-to-pole-circumnavigation/

Pan Am apparently pulled it off too back in '77:

How Pan Am Flight 50 flew from pole to pole
"The one-time-only flight on Boeing's new special performance 747 began in San Francisco, flew over the North Pole and stopped at its next destination: London.

After refueling the plane jetted on to South Africa. Next, it flew over the South Pole and landed in New Zealand before taking off again and ending up back in San Francisco.
Total time: 54 hours, seven minutes and 12 seconds. The record-setting average speed, according to the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale: 487 mph (784 km/hr).
"

The route:

https://www.cnn.com/travel/article/pole-to-pole-pan-am-flight-50/index.html

Scomato I believe Satellites exist and fly over all parts of the world.  But because of refraction the images may be warped in some instances.

I mapped out Pan Am 50's circumpolar flight on a South Centered FE Map.

Using this information, I don't see why it's impossible for a flight to travel along a Flat Earth and arrive at the same results.   Their flight path looks very similar to the "great circle" paths commercial pilots use today (in red).  And keep in mind that anybody who arrives at 90'N latitude assumes they are at the North Pole (as per RE Theory).

There's a lot of video on the net of UFOs going near volcanoes, missile silos, nuclear power plants, and even hanging out at the Japan meltdown in an attemp to help deradiate the region IMO.

Stack, hear where I'm at and correct me if I'm wrong.  The Himawari 8 satellite is so high in the sky that it can take an entire shot of the Eastern Hemisphere in one shot.

And if the world is round, that's all you can ever ask a satellite to do.

But if the Earth is flat, then is it not conceivable that the Himawari isn't high enough to capture both the Eastern and Western Hemispheres in one shot?

However, if the Himawari is above the Glossy Dome Exosphere, then technically it might have a chance at capturing the Sun at night if they turned there satellite South at Midnight Australia time, because with the absence of a Dome over there heads, the Sun should not Set due to refraction.  This would prove the Sun hovers over a flat plane and is not hidden behind the Earth.

If its GeoStationary that means it always orbits above Japan/Austalia.  They cannot capture the entire Earth without a Composite.

The satellite may be to close to earth to capture a large field view which may be necessary to see a big big earth.

I don't mistrust the images.  It's about 1/10th the distance to the moon so it's still very close by flat earth standards.  (Sorry for the late response I was gathering details)

This was obtained using the AKARI infrared satellite.   Like visible images in space, Infrared Telescopes use mirrors and lenses to capture Radiation from Celestial Objects that are produced from Heat and then uses a computer to translate that Radiation data into a visible image - Thats just a basic understanding I just read.

As an aside, they need to operate in very dry and cool temperatures at almost absolute zero via atmosphere and coolant systems in order to detect heat radiation from sky objects without picking up heat "noise" from the telescope or surrounding environment.  This particular satellite used to orbit at very high altitudes to avoid the warm atmosphere of earth before its coolant ran out.  Neat stuff.

It's in the news...

1) CNN:  "8 takeaways from the government's big UFO report" - June 28, 2021
https://www.cnn.com/2021/06/27/politics/ufos-uap-extraterrestrial-life/index.html

2) In a 4 July 2021 article in "The Hill" titled "Dem Lawmaker calls for hearings on UFOs"

"Rep. Andre Carson (D-Ind), Chairman of the House Intelligence sub-committee on Counterterrorism, Counterintelligence and Counter proliferation, is calling on Congress to hold a "series of Hearings" on reported UFOs following last month's highly anticipated intelligence report on the subject...

"If it is off-worldly, we have to take into account our advancements in terms of cellphone technology and why aren't these images being captured? Carson said. "We have to think about the nearly 4,000 satellites that are orbiting the Earth right now. Most of these satellites have cameras attached to them. Why hasn't any of that information been released?"
https://ufos-scientificresearch.blogspot.com/2021/07/us-congressional-hearings-on-uap-some.html

3)  ABC: "Pentagon announces new team to investigate UFO sightings after influx of reports" - Wednesday, November 24, 2021
https://abc7news.com/ufo-news-pentagon-team/11268798/

Beyond the Government literature, there's a ton of Info on UFO's...  Many are spotted near Fresh Water like the Polar Oceans to refuel their Hydrogen Reactors or something.   And the military has said many times UAPS go near Nuclear Plants and Missile Silo's sometimes shutting them down.

Who they are is subject to speculation, but Admiral Byrd speaking with such occupants is not surprising to me...if he really said that anyway.  It just goes to show that there's still a lot of stuff unexplored.

I don't know about Admiral Byrd's Hollow Earth Theory but his statements about other-worldly beings with flying craft is probably a reference to UFO's and their inhabitants.  There's definitely been a connection with atomic energy and UFO activity and the US Gov't is going full forward on Acknowledging these craft exist and trying to determine who's flying them.

I can't help posting another pic of a similar Galaxy called NGC 4217.   These are its magnetic field lines.

So, I believe a Flat Earth shares many of the same properties of a Round Earth.  That includes a hot central body made of Lava.  I also think Flat Earths or similar structures are located at the center of galaxies and are a galaxy unto themselves (in much smaller sizes of course).

From this point of view, I've looked for evidence of what's on the other side of a Flat Earth by looking at photos of galaxies and both sides of its Galactic Plane.  So far, its inconclusive. I find equal evidence that one side of a Galaxy is the same as the other like in traditional "Black Hole" theory, rather than there being one Habitable Side with a rocky underbelly or another variation with Two Habitable Sides etc.

Here's some of my findings:

https://astrobites.org/2016/03/30/double-bubble-galaxy/

These are two "Fermi Bubbles" which are large amounts of Heat or Gas that is emanated from the center of galaxies.  Traditional science suggests it could be Old or New Stars in the past or the accretion and heating up of matter caused by a Black Hole.  I hear the word "Star" heat and "Accretion" heat and think perhaps one bubble is created by a central Star or Sun and another by Exposed lava.  This would make the Fermi Bubbles part of the "Dome" we see on earth and on other Worlds.

Here's another photo of the Milky Way Galaxy with Heat Seeking Infrared Cameras.  You can almost see a star at one end and a hot disc below it.  However, the "sun" I propose in this photo is actually opposite the side I had assumed the Habitat was on so take my findings with some hesitation.
