You seem to think air resistance shouldnt be factored into one of the calculations, but I can't figure out why. Duncan has done a pretty good job explaining both scenarios for you but here we are...

That's an awesome plan.

Here our public health authorities just told people during the peak of the pandemic that if they had to keep hooking up with tinder dates, they should do it doggy style, reverse cow girl or use glory holes.

supply the average rate of velocity for the profile.

I beg your pardon?

velocity profile

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

@Iceman, you're up. You get a second chance.

Second chance at what?  I just want to hear all the details about how Obama created transgenders. It seems like you've gone to the Tom Bishop research academy on this one...

Awh man, can we go back and delete the last few posts so we can go back to Obama creating transgender people?

Yeah, and many other "non-essential," received theirs much the same.
Please tell me how non-essential people became richer.
They lost their jobs, which, in many cases, was their only access to medical insurance, but then got handed a few covidbucks and bidenbucks for their troubles

Two identical cars sit on a flat road. One is travelling at a constant speed of 8000 km/h. As soon at it passes car 2, car 2 hits the gas and continues accelerating. Both cars travel for 5 minutes, car 1 at a constant 8000km/h, car 2 accelrating to a final velocity of 16000 km/h, before both take their feet off the gas at the same time and just coast, allowing friction to gradually slow them down.

They both have the same avg velocity for the 5 minute trip, but if we want to know if one of them will travel further before it comes to a comlete stop,

Average
velocity
doesnt
matter.

Now that the "here's how Trump can still win" mantra has faded, 'the great reset' is what we'll get to hear all about?

You can describe the distance travelled in a given time frame for any moving body (whether its accelerating or not) by multiplying its avg velocity by the time. No one disputed this.

But that figure offers zero predictive powers for the instantaneous velocity at any time. For this discussion, AVERAGE VELOCITY FOR THE BURN PHASE IS A MEANINGLESS VALUE.

Please stop repeating this nonsense.

RIP to what started as an interesting thread.

Flu cases for what region?

And why would anyone have expected cases to do anything other than plummet, with increased focus on ha d washing, social distancing, mask mandates,  working from home, kids doing school from home and complete lockdowns.

Of course flu numbers were going to plummet. But what is the source for the numbers fox showed on that graphic?

I'll be curious to see what the costs end up being, if the H fuel has come down to anywhere near fossil fuels or electric. The only place I thought it was feasible was iceland, because it was so much easier/cheaper for them to separate the hydrogen. But the numbers for those were from like ten years ago, which was the last time I looked into it.

Though not an EU nation, Iceland has already done the same, right? I think it makes a lot of sense for island nations, where they can maintain a strong control over access points.

I see that being a huge challenge for many of the EU states with multiple border crossings. Definitely an interesting development though.

If someone wants to suggest some specific intervals and describe how they relate to FET, or examples within that offer better observations or predictions that RET, I'd be happy to watch selected parts.

But a 6hr marathon isnt in my future.

Who constitutes a genuine flat earther though?

All I've ever seen (in the ridiculously toxic youtube arena at least) is that any time a FE'r converts, regardless of their previous fame or notoriety, they are immediately cast aside as shills or RE plants, dishonest fame-seeking, greedy... name your adjectives and expletives.

This thread is really something... what started as a discussion about whether trans athletes should be allowed to compete in gendered high school sporting competitions is now just a launch pad for ...whatever the hell the last couple dozen  posts have been  ???

I recommend everyone just stops indulging A80's fantasy that avg velocity during burn phase is somehow the answer to his problem with an ICBM working...
