When does it end? Why can't we get there?
« on: March 26, 2018, 09:16:38 PM »
I'm new the FET and I was wondering if someone could help me with a little bit of cognitive dissonance I've been having. The whole thing seems pretty real but I wanted to know if anyone can explain the 'end' or 'edge' and why we can't get there or even if there's some evidence of it. No hate please, thanks everyone

According to many flat earthers the world is ringed by a gigantic ice wall. As far as I am aware there is no actual evidence of such a wall.

It comes down to the ice wall. Antarctica does not exist as a continent, its an ice wall that circles the earth and essentially keeps the water in. There is an 'edge of the world', but the ice wall extends for 100s of miles and hurricanes rage and the temperature plummets to levels humans can't survive. Dr Samuel Rowbotham wrote:

'How far the ice extends; how it terminates; and what exits beyond it, are questions to which no present human experience can reply. All we know at president is, that snow and hail, howling winds, and indescribable storms and hurricanes prevail; and that on every direction "human ingress is barred by unsealed escarpments of perpetual ice," extending farther than eye or telescope can penetrate, and becoming lost in gloom and darkness.'

Keep in mind that there isn't any empirical evidence of any of this before proceeding.

Except the images of an ice wall that people swear isn't there, reports of pilots being escorted by the air force, people on expeditions being forced away by the military, the army bases, explorers like captain cook in the age of sail being unable to progress past the ice wall, the Antarctic treaty.

Solid list. Can you provide actual evidence, however?

Well there's images all over of the ice wall. Not hard to find. There's army bases and that's not a secret. The pilots and people turned away were came out and said it, but why would they lie? They weren't even promoting flat earth. Captain cook wrote about it in his journals. And the Antarctic treaty is a way of controlling everyone.

There is a link to the image from the wiki. I will leave it up to you to determine how much of an impediment that would actually be. Consider that many, many people have scaled Mt. Everest.

I would also ask that you explain how the air force effectively patrols a 25,000 mile long ice wall effectively and efficiently.

Who spoke about not being able to scale it? Though I'm pretty sure its an impediment to a ship. In fact I'm entirely sure.

And the air force have... wait for it... radar! They aren't stuck on one spot they are at certain points all the way around. Think about it.

All right. Still waiting on evidence that pilots have been escorted away by the military, as well as evidence of these bases in (or on, I guess I don't know how you would describe it) Antarctica that can deploy supersonic jets anywhere along the periphery of the world at a moment's notice.

The bases are not a secret, and the pilots have come out and told their stories. Believe it or not, but as they aren't flat earthers what would they have to gain?

Source? Never seen a pilot proclaim this. In fact just recently we had a report of a man taking his boat to Antarctica (illegaly) and giving tours of the land (illegaly) and he was only caught and found out because of an unrelated charge. This would be direct evidence against there being people patrolling or similar the length of the Antarctic shore. In addition, the FES (or so I've been told) DO  recognize Antarctica as a continent. Hence the bipolar map.

Source? Obviously it depends how far you go, and it stretches for hundreds of miles. And I never said the military 'patrol the Antarctic shoreline', just that their are bases there. That doesn't equate to soldiers walking around the shore.

You haven't provided any evidence of any of this. What sources are you gathering your information from?

No I know perfectly. But there's been a military presence in Antarctica before, heck Google it and you'll see. I'm not sure what your getting at, other than trying to dodge how you can't prove an ice wall isn't there.

You made claims. You need to provide evidence that they are true. The burden of proof is on you to show that there is an ice wall encircling the 25k mile circumference of the earth.

You need to provide evidence that pilots are escorted away from Antarctica.

You need to provide evidence that there is a strong enough presence on Antarctica to run interference around the entire wall.

You have done none of these things.

No, there's photos of the ice wall. Strangely, YOU actually posted a link to one of those pics yourself, and then questioned whether its an impediment but the ability to climb it was never questioned. The burden of proof is on me, yet you presented the proof yourself. So surely if its on me to prove it, its also on you to disprove it as well?

I cannot provide photographic evidence of pilots being escorted away, but we have testimonies from said pilots to go on.

As for the military, I already said they are at certain parts. It's not a case of troops patrolling the shoreline, but being ready to I intercept something if necessary, and the proximity of the bases allows for that.

You're mistaking conjecture for evidence again. I know what you said and it doesn't matter whatsoever.
