Do you know people in the conspiracy?

Hi. My colleague's last job was for an airline. He was stationed in small airports in remote countries where his company had limited presence. His job was to calculate how much fuel would be needed for his airline's return flights based on how far they had to travel back, using what he said were distances based on the round earth. He then organised procurement and contracts with the local suppliers for the specific amounts of fuel. They had to do this precisely as too much fuel would be too expensive and even dangerous, as planes can't land when they have too much fuel - that's why flights at take off weight have to discharge fuel if they want to land early. And they couldn't put in too little fuel for obvious reasons.

Also, my sister's last job was tracking satellites, and she said they were restricted by how far they could track from their station due to the curvature of the earth.

Anyway, from what I've read on this site they must be part of the conspiracy. If they are not part of the conspiracy, how are they kept in the dark given their jobs? If they are part of the conspiracy, what are the wider implications for trusting people in our own families and workplaces?
