I don't know if it's verified that you can't just fly over the ice wall willy nilly, haven't looked it up yet, but if thats the case could someone fly along the border of the wall and measure the perimeter?

Why even travel to the ice wall to measure its perimeter? To find out it's much shorter than described in the azimuthal equidistant map? You can do that by seeing that there are direct flights from Sydney to Johannesburg, even though the proposed FE distance is far longer than the maximum range of the planes used.

Some FE theorists believe the UN has a fleet there to stop people from traveling to the South Pole.
