My Norwegian Kroner exchange rate as well as my food bill would disagree with that assessment.
Ah yes, I forgot, Norway doesn't experience inflation.
Oh no, I'm simply countering your claim that the dollar has lost value as the reason. Unless you want to claim that every currency on earth is The Dollar and thus loses value/inflation hits simultaniously. The only other explination is that something, beyond America, caused the large inflation spike.
Several hundred times is the EU's entire defense budget and then some. America is literally the highest spending country in the world when it comes to defense.
And? You think the EU can win a war with their peacetime budget? In order to go to war, you have to increase your war budget. I don't how America's defense expenditures matter here. If we want to buy lots of tanks, we're not obligated to give them away to corrupt eastern European shitholes just because some other equally corrupt shithole invaded them.
Uhh.. they are increasing their budgets. And as someone who lives in a bordering country... yeah, its an actual concern. With America now cheering for Russia, NATO knows damn well that if Russia attacks, there is a VERY good chance that America will not only ignore the alliance but actively help Russia. Our ONLY saving grace is that a war on multiple fronts never ends well. That and Russia has already shown that its army is ill equipped and poorly trained.
Yeah, you're right. I see the most recent charts now.
Fortunately winter is over so it should drop again.
You think they won't keep buying gas to refill their now-quite-empty reserves?
Face it, Dave, the EU doesn't actually care about Ukraine. It's performative rhetoric to appease voters who, ironically, also do not actually care about Ukraine. The EU, the Europeans themselves, and everyone else on the planet is fully aware that no modernized nation is actually under threat from Russia. No NATO countries are genuinely afraid of Regional-Power-Russia. It's a farce.
Ukraine was a major grains exporter to Europe so yeah, they care. Also, Russia being bigger and more powerful is bad for Europe. I get that Trump wouldn't care, but we do. We do NOT want Russia to get bolder. We saw what happened in WW2 when Germany got bold.
LD wants everyone to believe that multiple people in the Ukraine are "draft dodgers!"
COMEDY GOLD!!!
You can't make this shit up!!!
LMMFAO
And here is Uncle Hairy Legs the person responsible for all of the bullshit occurring in the region, urging Zelensky to up the numbers of dead and wounded in the area.
"A senior Biden administration official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss the private consultations, said Wednesday that the outgoing Democratic administration wants Ukraine to lower the mobilization age to 18 from the current age of 25 to expand the pool of fighting-age men available to help a badly outnumbered Ukraine in its nearly three-year-old war with Russia."
Who, in their right mind, would think this way?
I think one of the ilk was writing here in this thread about the need to "grow up."
I dunno know about you, but I was always taught that grown-ups talk things out, rather than start fights with other countries, like Ukraine did when they started this shit at the behest of the the Bush/Clinton/Obama triumvirate.
*looks at Vietnam draft dodgers like Trump* Yes... yes I think Draft dodgers exist in great numbers regardless. War is scary. DYING is scary. You really think everyone is going to just drop their lives and enthusiastically go to the front line with almost no training and probably die? Not everyone is brave. Like you, I suspect.
As for the draft age... who would think this way? Uhh... America? And anyone whose despirate. You seem to be under some odd thinking that Russia is going to be a benevolent ruler, giving out candy and free healthcare to their new, conquored land. Forgiving everyone who fought against them and allowing them to keep their culture completely intact.
What exactly do you think would happen if Ukraine unconditionally surrendered?
