One thing missing about the discussion of maintaining legal immigration is the impact illegal immigration has on the US job market. Persons within the US without a valid work visa or other form of approval are, indeed, negatively impacting the ability of US citizens to obtain gainful employment and achieve higher wages in any job. Persons circumventing the process are certainly going to perform any work they can (typically at a much-reduced rate) without question (under the threat of blackmail). It is, in essence, a form of human trafficking and slavery.

Every poster here should be in support of eliminating illegal immigration, regardless of political affiliation.

I am not saying this is a consideration to any of the oligarchs and their spokespeople occupying political seats across the country, as it is not.
To be honest I am getting pretty bored of this place.

I've been a manager that has hired and fired a lot of people over the years.

Here's the harsh truth.
If you can be out performed at your job by an uneducated, non-English speaking person who will work for half your wage, you are fired. You have no place on the team and it's stupid to think the economy will carry you along it's back. You will be replaced.

Lots of luck trying to get spoiled, white Americans to actually work picking vegetables and shoveling animal guts in the slaughter houses.

Sure.  But when was the last time you saw a farmer arrested for hiring illegals?

Also, as nostrand said: these are jobs that most people won't want to do.  And if you gotta pay what the job is worth, costs will go up, not down.  And labor shortages will only make it worse.
The conviction will get overturned on appeal.

Again, my post had nothing to do with the level of education about anyone.

Plenty of uneducated persons capable of quite a lot of good, quality work.

Migrant farmers are not being discussed, unless you are claiming the migrant farmers are illegal immigrants.

I do see about 40% of the migrant farmers are undocumented. That should be corrected.

The issue is illegal immigration.

And as I wrote, the persons supporting illegal immigration are simply human traffickers, taking advantage of other humans.

Uncaring despots.

As usual, replies don't examine the issue within the scope of the point made.

I am glad the Kavorka outed itself.

Every American supports illegal immigration by purchasing food. Their dollars are the fuel powering the system.

Maybe like 'dolphin safe' tuna, Americans should shop for 'illegal immigrant free' foods.

ITT^ written support for human trafficking and indentured servitude on full display.

The consumer in the US purchases items and is therefore, in the opinion of a bot, responsible for corporate farmers hiring undocumented workers.

I think we should go back to how it used to be: get off a boat, stand in line, get some papers, become part of America's exploited workforce.

Diversity in the sky was definitely a problem that day. Two aerial vehicles of entirely different types tried to occupy the same space at the same time. That's too much diversity even for me.

Trump has a plan to fix it. He's going to reduce fed agencies like the FAA by half. That should prevent incidents like this.

50 persons qualified (based on merit) for any position, will outperform 10000 persons hired using any other metric.

Well, there's no way of arguing with made up numbers like that.

Depends on the job tho.
50 people who have to dig a trench will not outperform 10,000 people also digging a trench.  That's just math.

Also also:
50 people will out perform 10,000 people working at a Walmart.  10,000 employees at a single store would be just no room for customers to do anything.
The conviction will get overturned on appeal.

Likely a suicide

The helicopter makes a beeline for the plane and attempts no evasive maneuvers whatsoever

The helicopter pilot was off-route and above its restricted altitude:

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14345293/catastrophic-mistakes-Washington-DC-plane-crash.html

Quote

The outlet again spoke with insiders that said the Sikorsky H-60 Black Hawk helicopter was not on its approved route and flying higher than it should have been.

Approval had been given for the helicopter to fly no higher than 200 feet along the east side of the Potomac River, where it would have avoided the passenger jet.

The pilot of the helicopter confirmed sight of the American Airlines flight and was told to stick to their predetermined route and go behind the plane.

Sources said the pilot did not stick to the path however and was a half-mile off course as well as being at an altitude above 300 feet.

A senior Army official told The Times that the pilot of the Black Hawk had flown the route before and was well aware of the tight altitude restrictions and routes.

As the jet approached the runway, those onboard had asked air traffic control to change their runway, according to an FAA report.

The plane, a Bombardier CRJ700, had been cleared to touch down on Runway 1, the main airport thoroughfare, but the controller then asked the pilot to land on Runway 33.

It also appears that the pilot was a trump-hating transsexual. Individuals with gender dysphoria have a very high suicide rate:

Yes, that doesn't appear to be the pilot. Apparently the pilot was an unidentified woman who was undergoing flight instruction. Close enough.

Defense officials, who were not authorized to speak publicly, told NPR that the instructor pilot, now believed to be Chief Warrant Officer Eaves, had 1,000 hours of flight time, which is considered experienced. The co-pilot, whose name is being withheld, had 500 hours, which is considered normal.

Sure.  Suicidal trans pilot or female pilot trainee.  Same difference, right?  We can still blame it on DEI.

I don't understand how that's even remotely close to DEI being responsible for what happened. If the argument is that the pilot's lack of extensive experience is what caused the crash, then why assume that her being a woman is relevant? All pilots need to be trained.
