Jeranism - Quotes that tell us we have all been lied to
« on: March 05, 2019, 05:43:26 AM »
This one is a bit long, but interesting. Jeran presents a marathon of quotes from various physcists and astronomers who make statements along the lines that Heliocentrism and diunral motion are untenable or unverified, and that rejection of evidence or the invocation of illusions are used to explain failings. Runtime 3h:

Why is “quotes” in quotation marks? Are they quotes?

This one is a bit long

You could say that. On first glance I thought it said 3 minutes on the clock but after 10 minutes I started to think that time must have slowed down somehow. Then I looked again and saw it was actually just over 3 hours long.  That was when I decided to stop the video and go and check whether the wall I had just painted was dry yet.  More interesting.

Of course these sort of conspiracy theorists are very popular with their target audiences because they say what they want to hear. You could say that FE'ers will naturally 'gravitate' towards these sort of videos to use Toms favoured terminology.  No confirmatory biasing going on here obviously.

If these claims are all as genuine and ground breaking as they would have you believe, why is it then that I have never heard of this character before in the mainstream science world?  Or indeed the BBC News?

Surely instead of hiding behind an unregulated YouTube channel he should be contacting all the Universities around the world and explaining to them why modern astronomy and cosmology (which is less than a century old by the way) is all a load of tosh.

I think what would be much more convincing of FE ideas is if FES could actually build a model for their FE claim.

Presently, FEers cannot survive a single day on earth, and until the terminus can be described on a flat earth — it doesn’t matter how much anyone thinks REers are wrong.

Proving RE wrong and FE correct are two separate pursuits. Progress in one does nothing for the other.

There is no FE model. At all.
The fact.that it's an old equation without good.demonstration of the underlying mechamism behind it makes.it more invalid, not more valid!

We try to represent FET in a model-agnostic way

Please refrain from off-topic posting and thread derailment in the upper fora. Flat Earth Media is not the forum for you to continue demanding someone make an FE model you like. If you want to reply to this thread, then discuss the video Tom posted.

Warned.

EDIT - Actually I see you are on two warnings within the last month from Pete. So, I think it is time for a break. Have a week off to review the rules. Keep in mind this is your 4th ban and most people would have been permabanned by now. I think we will give it one more go, but going straight to permanent next time around.
