The Hur report is available and people can read it, you know.

As usual, your characterization of the events is bullshit.

Why in the fuck the OMB outrage of speculation regarding, "OMG, what upgrades could be taking place!?!?!?"

Jesus F christ, if you are really concerned (you're not) write and ask if they'll let you know.

LMMFAO!!!

Haven't seen age related disease in the Executive summary detailing why they aren't charging him.  Maybe you should read it?

The summary was that the evidence didn't show beyond a reasonable doubt and that his memory wasnm severely limited in 2017 and 2023.

Quote
In addition. Mr. Biden's memory was significantly limited, both during his recorded interviews with the ghostwriter in 2017, and in his interview with our office in 2023. And his cooperation with our investigation, including by reporting to the government that the Afghanistan documents were in his Delaware garage, will likely convince some jurors that he made an innocent mistake, rather than acting willfully-that is, with intent to break the law-as the statute requires.

That's about the closest passage to age related disease.  So... Yeah.

And you know, I think I will!

Joe Biden is not deserving of any consideration as a human being, let alone to be trusted with a child and classified information.
Most of the time the former president keeps security clearances so they can advise the current president on things after their tenure.
Hur already ruled Biden had stored classified documents in his garage, but charges were not brought because of onset of age-related disease. Not to mention, Biden did the same thing to Trump. The entire issue of whether former persons serving as president having access to records post-presidency is up for debate.
Couple of things.
Biden wasn't charged because he cooperated and no evidence of anything more than forgetfulness you as found.  Trump liked twice about giving back all the documents and then had to have the FBI raid his home to get them back.  His private country club home.

LD, that money was already apportioned to the old agency (the United States Digital Service) that DOGE replaced. No lost or new money.
Yes, it was.  Then spent faster than it was originally intended.  Try to keep up.
DOGE is in operation for SIX months.

No surprise they have access to the entire kitty at this point.

The upgrades used in digital processing will remain once DOGE is dissolved.

Try to keep up.

And what upgrades are they?  Special X social media servers and software so Musk can have full access to the secure data anytime?  Maybe a rootkit in the OS?  Compromised BIOS?

And why?  What's the point of upgrading the system?

Also, FYI: system upgrades can take YEARS depending on the system size and complexity.  I do this shit for a living, I know.  And if you have old systems from say... 20 years ago, moving the whole operation to a new system is very time consuming or very dangerous.

Nothing says efficiency and cutting costs like $7 million spent in a week looking at data and, for some reason, upgrading systems.

The pendulum is beyond its apex and is definitely swinging to the other direction now. The Left may never fully recover.

Yes... funding.  Certainly not buying subscirptions so they can keep up with the news as it comes.  NOPE!  Certainly not!  Its probably their entire revenue stream, right?

While a sperm is smaller than an egg, an egg is not "big".  Not even sure it's a cell, by definition.
Is a human egg a cell?

"Although an egg can give rise to every cell type in the adult organism, it is itself a highly specialized cell, uniquely equipped for the single function of generating a new individual."

Welp, that answers that.

No person belongs to any sex at conception as the sex organs haven't formed nor is it possible to determine what your sex is at conception via genetics.
Well, to be fair, there is the XX/XY chromosome combination that is usually (but not always) a pretty good clue as to which way the fetus is going to develop.
Yes but the EO doesn't state that.  Nor is it possible to determine at conception without manually fertilizing an egg with a known sperm.

The EO only states that they belong to the sex, at conception, that produces the big or small reproductive cell. (I'm summarizing)

1. How does one determine what your sex was at conception?  Not at birth but conception?
2. No human produces big or small sex cells at conception.
3. Define big and small.  Because those are relative.  While a sperm is smaller than an egg, an egg is not "big".  Not even sure it's a cell, by definition.

Bitch away, LD, bitch away...

Triggered...LOL!
Yes. Evil does trigger me, thanks for noticing. Not protecting women in sports is evil.
FTFY. NNTTM.
You seem to misunderstand.
I think trans women shouldn't have any standing in women's sports.  Their "accomplishments" should count for nothing.  Compete?  In non-ranked games only.  So basically, being a trans woman wouldn't help you in a career in sports.  Or winning a school match.

But I think the sports agencies and such should determine that, not the president.

I did read it.

And, as usual, persons who have no qualifications entitling them to be a licensed biologist in the US, are compelled to disagree with the EO signed by Trump.

Your objections are moot.

The order is signed.

I don't care about anything else you want to bring up.
And the person who wrote it has no qualifications entitling them to be a licensed biologist in the US, so whats the problem?

Yes the order is signed.
Yes there's nothing legal I can do about it.
But considering Republicans have spent the last 4 years bitching about an election they lost and complainign about EVERY GOD DAMN THING BIDEN HAS EVER DONE... I think I'm entitled to bitch.

You are certainly allowed to think the EO means whatever you think it means.

Anybody is.

I am under the impression it means nothing else than what it was announced to be.

People who were born with a penis can no longer compete in sports with biological women. Any sports organization or school allowing this activity will no longer receive funding from the federal government.

That is all.

Not a big deal there are people who would disagree with this "common sense" EO.

Happens all the time.

Then you read it wrong.

Can you quote the bit that says Penis?  Anywhere?

Because it seems the definition of male and female is listed in the other EO which is...

(d)  “Female” means a person belonging, at conception, to the sex that produces the large reproductive cell.

(e)  “Male” means a person belonging, at conception, to the sex that produces the small reproductive cell.

No person belongs to any sex at conception as the sex organs haven't formed nor is it possible to determine what your sex is at conception via genetics.

Yes, it's an EO that says Gender Identity doesn't exist and if you have eggs, you must act like a girl and present as a girl in society.
Where does the EO specifically state "gender identity," does not exist?
The bit you quoted.  It's legal speak for 'this idea is stupid and we're ignoring it.'

Quote
Which other human sex would have eggs?
Intersex.

But then here's a kicker... What if you're a female without eggs due to some generic disorder?

Or rather "the larger reproductive cell"?

I see.

Well, how do biologists determine those definitions?

I am not a biologist.

I do see this definitions for men and women:

(b) “Women” or “woman” and “girls” or “girl” shall mean adult and juvenile human females, respectively.

(c) “Men” or “man” and “boys” or “boy” shall mean adult and juvenile human males, respectively.

Anything not matching those two definitions can have their own, individual category.
It varies but generally speaking females give birth or lay eggs.  Males provide genetic material.

This only applies to biology and not society, however.  Social gender identity is not the same.

The problem is that the wording is "At conception".  Which is impossible to determine via DNA and, at conception, no reproductive cells are made.  No sex organs even exist.  So the order doesn't make sense from a biological perspective.

The potential is there tho anyone whose intersex will tell you that conception means nothing if something goes wrong elsewhere in the process between conception and puberty.

LD, if you think any of the questions (or position) you raised are pertinent to this order, I urge you to contact someone (or, even yourself) to take it in front of a court and have them examine your questions in light of the EO.

I know what I think, but that does not matter. I will say I do not see where the order says we, "are all female or non-gender." I will also say I do not see anything in the order dealing with issues related to conception.

Sec. 2.  Definitions.  The definitions in Executive Order 14168 of January 20, 2025 (Defending Women from Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government), shall apply to this order.

That part.  Because ya gotta define a woman to define who can be in women's sports.

You can read the entire order here. The issue is over Title IX.
Well... Since we're all female or non-gender by the order....

And before you think me insane, Tell me how you will determine which sex cell is produced by a fertilized egg at conception?

Trump banned no sports and he doesn't need to protect men's sports, as men within the human species are the protectors.

Trump does not exercise executive power over sporting associations, but he does exercise executive power within the United States and sporting associations, schools, etc., within the US can still do as they wish, but will no longer receive federal funding if they allow any trans-identifying persons to participate in women's sports.

Oh, only federal funding?
That's fine then.  The headline made it sound like he just banned it period not "no federal finding if you..."

This is the best thing Trump has done since he has been in office.

But not men's sports?

Also, how does the president have authority to control sporting association rules?  What, can he ban women's sports next?  Maybe ban mixed sports?

Since the President is clearly above the powers of other branches a more accurate statement is that he provides the permission for his actions. The President is the check against the other branches, not vice-versa. You guys have that backwards.

Another example is the recent "TikTok ban". It was passed legally by Congress and upheld by the Supreme Court. TikTok went offline for a while and then it was brought back on line by internet telecommunication companies after declarations from Trump. Trump issued statements and an EO that he will put the orders for the TikTok ban on pause and not uphold it, demonstrating that he is above those powers and can simply ignore the orders.

The best Congress can do is impeach him and give him that label, but whether they have the power to actually forcefully remove him against his will is in debate since it has never been done and the President clearly has an encompassing enforcement power that nullifies other branches. In fact, the article I posted a couple of posts back says that he can overturn or overthrow Congress in his official capacity without fear of arrest. It is interesting to speculate about the limits of the President's vast power, but it is nonetheless very clear that he is incredibly powerful in likeness to a king.

So he can lawfully rig an election.

But why did Trump leave office?  Surely he could have just not left.

And yet he wasn't able to freeze funds.  The courts stopped him.

The President can respect that decision, or not. Since the President is responsible for enforcing the order, he can simply tell his law enforcers not to enforce it.

There are numerous examples of the executive branch declining to enforce laws and orders, such as the declining to enforce and prosecute marijuana laws. The executive branch said that they won't enforce it, with the result that people now take it and grow it at will and treat it as legal. This is a well known example of the executive giving the finger to the courts, and a demonstration that he is above the laws.

This is also why the President has unlimited pardon power. If a judge issues an order that someone is to be imprisoned or fined, the President can choose not to enforce it and let the person go free. Here we have an example that has been exercised many times in the past that the President can ignore direct court orders, beyond just ignoring laws. He is truly above the courts.
Being free from punishment is not the same as being allowed to do something.
