Dont forget your tickets
For those of you flying from long distances. It's a good opportunity to gather some empirical data. I have found out that, when you put your iPhone in flight mode, the GPS still works, as it only receives radio signals. Just keep it near the round window of a plane.
It's best to use an aviation app (I'm a pilot) as it shows time, distance to destination, altitude etc. I use
AvPlan, which you must buy I think,but there is probably quite a few free apps available after a quick search.
I don't know how it works, but to empirically observe how it works it quite magical.
Anyway, only if you are travelling on a commercial ticket.
