This is fallacious on any proposed shape of the Earth. To get to the same spot, you necessarily have to follow a closed path; there is no teleportation. I think that you've misunderstood the usual reasoning offered by some RE people: the Azimuthal Equidistant Projection map produced by the Flat Earth people only allows circumnavigation parallel to lines of latitude. You can easily circumnavigate (and end up at the same spot according to GPS, which has proven itself reliable in other navigation tasks) the Earth at a slight angle to a line of latitude without even going near the poles, something that can't happen on the AE map. Personally, I think that this line of reasoning is rather fallacious, as FE acknowledges that they have work to do on a map and it's not fair to straw-man them by citing the AE map, just as it's not fair for FE people to use the non-unification of GR and the Standard Model to support their denial the existence of gravity.
