Only a resignation is a resignation. You can't just say "I'm taking this as a resignation." As for taxes, I haven't seen anything about Musk paying billions since 2021, when he claimed he'd be paying $11 billion from selling stock. It's worth noting that every article that covered that subject seems to be taking Musk's word for it. It's extremely likely that he was lying or exaggerating. Like I posted a while back, Trump is planning trillions in tax cuts. Those tax cuts aren't for you or me. They're for the enormously wealthy. Trump has you so convinced that you're being taken advantage of a bunch of bureaucrats earning median paychecks that you're entirely blind to the oligarchs who really are taking advantage of you, to a degree many times worse than the federal workforce (even assuming all the FUD about them being a bunch of lazy freeloaders is true - which it isn't).

You can take it as a resignation when you are the boss and the employee does not follow instructions, something for which they can be fired. You already have a problem with the word "fired," so now those workers will be classified as having resigned, which should be much more palatable to your tastes. Nobody has me zoomed about the amount of money anybody pays in taxes. Nobody should be paying anything in taxes. All the government's income should come from tariffs. That would put a real cap on the size of government.
To be honest I am getting pretty bored of this place.

You ,uhh... Can't.
A resignation must be a signed document of resignation, not a 'you didn't reply to an email'.  Labor laws kinda allow firing someone for doing that but not marking them as resigning.  Sorry but that's just the law.  And definition of words.

Also ,you do know tariffs are taxes on the importer, right?

If the employees do as instructed, that will be a wonderful thing. If they do not, then it will be a case of them resigning to the fact they did not do as instructed.

I don't care what a tariff is, I just know taxing productivity is a net loss.

>_>

So you want something you don't care about what it is.
It's a tax on production requiring things from outside the country.

And if someone does not do as instructed, it's a disciplinary situation, not a "you voluntarily resigned" situation.  Go read a fucking law

Yes. It doesn’t matter how many times A69 tries to redefine words, failure to respond to an email cannot be deemed a resignation. It could be deemed a disciplinary matter but if someone had an otherwise good record I suspect there will be lawsuits flying round all over the place if they try to sack anyone because of it. Especially as some agencies have explicitly told their staff to delay any response.

And quite honestly who would want to work in an environment like this. Creating shitty work conditions will make people resign but is that going to be the right people? There’s nothing strategic about any of this, they’re just wading in and hacking away. At what cost to public services?

Wow, TDS is alive and well.

Too bad.

Everyone knows it is just "filler," for the news cycle and not the end of the world you all are trying to make it out to be.

The ilk here love their TDS and OMB...

You had no fucking concerns about people losing their jobs over not taking the covfefe shot, you fucking hypocrite.

The actual points are you have no real fucking gripes about fascism or authoritarianism or totalitarianism.

You fucking love that shit.

You have TDS and OMB...

You just like to hurl baseless fucking shit wherever you go.

Fix that piece of shit Starmer and your fucking idiotic, weak-ass UK, before pretending you have any sort of legitimate ideas of how things ought to run elsewhere on the flat earth plane.

TDS actually stands for Trump Dumb ass Syndrome. It causes willful ignorance in idiotic rednecks which leads them to buy worthless meme coins and Chinese printed Bibles from a megalomaniacal buffoon who is coordinating with our national adversaries to seize control of our nation.

Here's an example of extreme Trump Dumb ass Syndrome which speaks to the diabolical effectiveness of the Russian psy-op against America. Imagine being so frightened of the 'woke, liberal, leftist agenda' that you are willing to give up your freedom of speech, give up free access to the world wide web, give up the freedom to read any book you want all for the protections of the Trumputin.

Actually maybe we need more traitors like Action80 and Tucker Carlson to move to Russia, could be a good thing for America.

The family wants a good education and strong moral values for their children, something that has not been provided in the public school system in the US because of people like you, Kramer.

I hope Trump is able to fix it, but that will take quite a bit of discipline to overcome his naturally democratic roots.

Here is your strong statement of mealy-mouthed opposition to authoritarianism:
"I agree that freedom is not absolute but I can't think of another example where it's been suggested that a certain vaccine or medicine is mandated. That seems like a line which shouldn't be crossed."

You already know vaccinations for schools and other positions are mandatory. Your position is fucking indefensible. and it is the type of language you use that leads to the exact type of fucking nonsense exhibited in the world today.

Like I wrote earlier, try to do your best to get that fuckhead Starmer fixed, before you worry bout shit in the US.

If you want to live in a country like Russia or Iran with good education and strong moral values, by all means please go. In fact, Trump wants to deport people, he should subsidize travel and logistics to move people like you out of the country.

Understand, the U.S. government can fall to extreme right-wing nationalists but America will never be Russia. My family and I will never allow the government to block us from the rest of the world. I will boycott the state medias that Trump seeks to establish. Stand-up comedians will stand united as they make fun of Trump's idiotic statements.

You can take your Pro-Russia, Sharia law bullshit and find another country. It will inevitably fail in America.

The federal government does not provide acceptable public services to justify the taxpayer costs incurred. Terrible work conditions will force out the tenured employees. This is exactly the point of Elon Musk's assault.

If you are bawwing about further degradation of services, not to worry, because there are better, younger Americans willing to take that paycheck in a downsized department who are energized and knowledgeable to automate the processes and to do ten times as well.

Possibly true. But to deal with that you take a strategic view. "Move fast and break things" may work well in the technical world, when it comes to public services which people rely on then not so much.

It will make people who are most capable of getting a new job do so. Those are generally the more competent people.

I'm not bawwing about anything.
The further degradation of services affects you, not me.
It will be funny watching Musk et all break things and cult members like you suffering the consequences.
Of course, you'll pretend things aren't broken. Anything rather than admit your cult leader doesn't care about you and doesn't know what he's doing.

I'm fine if things break. If checks are delayed or whatever, I know that they will reprioritize to fix that.

It's the opposite. When you get in a new manager who starts micromanaging the team and who makes outrageous demands it is the weakest employees who complain and quit. The strongest ones optimize and excel.

Probably because you don't immediately need any of the services which will break.
