Hello guys i want to ask a question that i don't know the answer. Probably this question asked before and has a good answer. But i don't know it.

When i am reviewing the routes on the Australia i see that Perth to Brisbane flying gets about 4 hours but Brisbane to Perth flyings gets about 5 hours. This means about %20-25 difference between same route just turning way.

Example for Brisbane to perth: (5 hours)
Virgin air: https://tr.flightaware.com/live/flight/VOZ464/history/20160515/2310Z/YBBN/YPPH
Qantas: https://tr.flightaware.com/live/flight/QFA597/history/20160516/0700Z/YBBN/YPPH

Example for perth to Brisbane: (4 hours)
Virgin air: https://tr.flightaware.com/live/flight/VOZ469/history/20160513/0445Z/YPPH/YBBN
Qantas: https://tr.flightaware.com/live/flight/QFA598/history/20160514/0415Z/YPPH/YBBN

Question: Why this time difference caused by?

Note: "I dont want to see the answer like abot probability and just answer by who knows this stuation before.

Thank you.

To understand this issue look these routes and track logs.

This is a different route from West to East and East to West.

Adelaide to Sydney gets about 1:25

But opposite route gets about 1:55 hours.

Difference about %25.

Look to track logs.

These plains are both Boing 737 so we are waiting that planes goes on same altitude about equal speeds or it must be about. But one of them is about halkf of the other.

This is first plane:

Going from Adelaide to Sydney with about 1.080 kmh on 37.000 altitude.

This is the second one:

Going from Sydney to Adelaide with about 640 kmh on 38.000 altitude.

Same plane, same route.

It's like something resisting to second plane as a power stronger than air friction or another acts. How is it possible?

Rabinoz answered this a dozen of times already about the eastbound versus westbound flight paths. I'm not saying you should look up something written about jet streams, but look up something written about jet streams.

I have answered this numerous times "wind"!

Look it up yourself! Search for "Why are East-West flights slower than West-east?"

One answer:
Quote
The jet stream is a very high altitude wind which always blows from the West to the Eastacross the Atlantic. The planes moving at a constant air speed thus go faster in theWest-East direction when they are moving with the wind than in the opposite direction.Jun 27, 2015

If you won't believe that there is nothing I can do!

I remember that answer but couldn't see.
