This has probably been asked hundreds of times before, but how does the ISS stay in the sky, since orbit isn't possible on a flat earth?

Seems more like the moon is just shining through the thinner clouds, like how you can see a lightbulb through paper. The higher up clouds are thin enough to appear invisible from the light of the moon or the sun.
