Title: Circumference of Certain Circles of Latitude
Post by: Stagiri on March 20, 2018, 09:09:57 AM
Is there any formula for calculating the circumference of a FE circle of latitude? Thank you.

EDIT: I've read that each latitude degree increases the circumference by about 437 miles. Is it correct?

You can take my numbers in the "radii" thread and multiply by 2 pi.

In the mono-pole north-centric flat earth model your numbers are close to correct. In the round earth model, they are incorrect, glaringly so in the southern hemisphere.
