Title: in a 3-D model, what does the earth look like?

I am new the to the flat earth society and I read all of the FAQs and pretty much everything else on this website because I have decided to write an informative speech on the flat earth theory. but, I still have some questions- like what is the shape of the earth in a 3-D model? does it look like a coin? does it look like a cone? I know the earth is traveling on an infinite plane, but is the earth itself a plane? if it has an underside, what does it look like and is it possible to go there? please help I am confused!! thank you!

okay good point. I have another question: did Samuel rowbotham create the flat earth theory just because he thought it to be so, or was it started long ago by, say, a king who wanted to control his subjects as explained in the Flat Earth Conspiracy?

Have you considered launching spacecraft?

That's expensive and difficult, though -- how about using ground- or flight-based observations?

And once you've done that, how about getting your results peer-reviewed?
