What a tragic case. I think the right call is being made here, though. If you don't pay your rent, the police have every right to evict you, and if you pull a weapon on a cop, they have every right to use theirs first. Discuss.

Eh, I'd drop the homicide charges but otherwise agreed.
The legal challenge of eviction for repairs not being made is one thing but that shoukd be handled in the courts.

It's a sad story, indeed, but it doesn't sound like it could realistically be handled any better. The evicted tenant should have thought twice before pulling a gun on the cop.
Thank God none of the people involved were black. Duncannon would be thoroughly burnt to the ground by peaceful protesters by now. :^)

He just happened to be there, a bystander, while police set out on their daily child hunt?

He didn't directly kill his daughter, but she was killed as a direct result of the crime he was committing. It's his fault.
