I'm skeptical anything will be produced. Nintendo has a lot of awesome content that they don't want to make into movies after how horrible the product has always been when they let their IP be used for TV shows or movies. If you haven't checked out the monstrosity that was the Super Mario Bros movie, don't.

Almost without exception, game to movie/ TV adaptations are terrible (I'm genuinely struggling to think of a good one) and Nintendo ones all the more so.
