I guess this means Flat Earth Theory is going to get the recognition it deserves.

Wait, that guy wasn't eaten by a snake? The news told me he was. He told the press he was before the show was aired! What a lying sack of sh*t!

Yep, he aborted immediately when he realized that getting swallowed by a snake was going to be painful. There's a video of his failure.

I think they're more so talking about the alien stuff, Atlantis docs, and other such nonsense.

I just watched it. But he told everyone before it aired he got eaten. I read he said he got eaten up to his legs, his team came in and the snake regurgitated to get away as it got spooked. That's nothing like what happened. I hope he is standing around a burning rusty oil can in fingerless gloves with a few dirty acquaintances, sipping vodka out of a brown paper bag! >o<

Shush! This thread is now about a man on a program called 'Eaten alive' failing to be eaten alive.

But that show had so much potential. They could have moved on to so many other things, like eaten by a whale, a shark, an elephant, etc.
Ignoring the obvious ethical and moral complications, the show would have been amazing. Also, it would be different person getting eaten every time because, well, the last one got eaten.

The Twitter reactions made the Eaten Alive thing almost worth it:

My favorite is the one with the dog.

I don't get it. He was going to be eaten but not killed, yet the snake also wasn't supposed to be killed. How did they expect this to go?

We expected him to be eaten alive! Promises were made of man-eating snakes! >o<

It seems like it'd be cheaper just to give the snake some sort of camera pill.
-
I'm also confused. If he's being eaten alive, wouldn't that hurt? Or maybe even fatal?
-
I feel like absolutely no one thought about the details of this show until after making the first episode.

I heard that the guy was in no way eaten alive, but I had no idea it was this retarded.
"Responding to the outcry, Discovery has issued a statement in which it made clear that Rosolie absolutely intended to be constricted and eaten alive by a giant snake, only to stop when his assembled team of scientific and medical experts determined that it might hurt."

But aside from Eaten Alive, I remember that mockumentary aired during Shark Week about the Megalodon. Apparently they've done one on mermaids too? Discovery Channel is shit just like the History Channel.
