Some nice footage of the sun circling above the plane of the earth and the spotlight below.

Obviously a NASA fake.

I don't know what the goal of this thread is.
There are so many things wrong with that image that I could write a book on the subject.
-
Sorry. My dinner was nearly ready so I didn't have time to add any context.
So this is a 92 minute orbit of the ISS condensed into a 6 second vine video. I just found it fascinating that in a 92 minute orbit of the earth, the sun never set.

It is convenient that the satellites always have solar power. Sounds like bull sh*t to me.

1) False premise. Satellites, like Hubble use batteries for power when they're in shadow. See: http://hubblesite.org/the_telescope/nuts_.and._bolts/spacecraft_systems/ (http://hubblesite.org/the_telescope/nuts_.and._bolts/spacecraft_systems/)
2) You provide no logic or evidence for your opinion..
3) Preemptively: would any FEer care to explain why the ISS should not be able to experience an orbit without the Sun "setting"? You can chase "daylight" even in the RE's atmosphere. See: http://pogue.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/08/28/quiz-time-todays-problem-chasing-daylight/?_php=true&_type=blogs&_r=0 (http://pogue.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/08/28/quiz-time-todays-problem-chasing-daylight/?_php=true&_type=blogs&_r=0)

It looks like the sun is orbiting perpindicularly to the Earth. Go figure.

It was nice of Thork to provide evidence against FET again.

Seems to conform with our model very nicely.
Being as the ISS crosses the equator twice with every orbit, no sunset is a bit of a mystery.

That clip looks like a horizontal version of this.

That is what I have been saying!
Anyway, welcome to the site. You need to wrap image tags around the image url.

You can set the size by stipulating a height or width.

Do tell us why the animation (gif) to which you point, showing a solstice, does not have every point (over than the NP) receiving 12 hours of sunlight. I'd think you'd want your model to match reality before trying to apply it to a situation that it doesn't apply. (The ISS does not orbit over Equator for 24 hours ever.)
PM fails again.

It isn't a mystery at all. RET predicts it. Look at your image. Now imagine that one of those orbits is aligned with the day/night terminator. Mystery solved.

I loved up condescending and saw you It looks like the sun is orbiting perpindicularly to the Earth. Go figure.

This is either an Ad Hominem or woefully short on substance. Maybe both! Feel free to use your words and be specific; I will too: to my eyes it looks as if the plane of the suns orbit is at 90 degrees to the plane of the Earth. Impossible on a FE on every model I have seen, but apparently possible on a RE.

I can't speak for Thork, but I would say nothing took the picture.

So you think it is a fake?

It is a picture; however, it seems suspiciously staged.

If you need any evidence that FEers have trouble with geometry, just note Thork's title for this thread, "sun circles over a flat plane". I suppose in FET planes aren't flat by definition. ???
In mathematics, a plane is a flat, two-dimensional surface.
ITT: Thorks presents evidence from a source he regularly disparages.
Thork makes a sophomoric geometry mistake in the Subject of the thread
Thork makes a reasoning error. Since the ISS more (Thork's failure to understand the the ISS accelerates is documented in the link in my sig, but even Thork admits that the RE ISS moves.) provide a video shot from the moving ISS does not provide evidence to support his outlandish claim.
Thork fails yet again.
-
The ISS doesn't move, the earth turns(not spins) beneth it

Ignoring that FET (all the way back to EnaG) states that the Earth does not spin, please provide your evidence to support your outlandish claim. Thanks.
