Tells us that eclipse paths look 'rather odd' in RE while the depiction of a flat Earth map (which I didn't think was supposed to exist) shows lovely regular arcs.  Well not everything in nature has to be geometrically perfect to work. His religiously influences beliefs that the planetary orbits had to be perfect circles meant that Kepler could not get his predicted planetary positions to match the observed positions recorded by Tycho. But as soon as he ditched his perfect circular orbits and made his orbit paths elliptical, so the problem was solved.

So what is this part of the FW Wiki supposed to prove?

Mmmm..  a striking similarity between the path shown on the flat Earth map and the horizon outline on my planisphere!
