Title: What do the govenment/people hiding flat earth gain from hiding it?

I've seen people say so they can funnel more money to NASA, but they only get around 20 billion dollars, as opposed to the about 600-700 billion dollars the military will be getting. It could be stated by people that they are hiding this money, but hundreds of billions is definitely not easy to hide. Where would it be stored? If NASA had hundreds of billions of dollars at it's disposal, why would the production of satellites, rovers, and telescopes take so long? I just want to know.
