WSJT is open source software. You can inspect the source to find the government's faked timings.

Flat Earth Media / Re: International Shipping Agent
« on: August 04, 2020, 08:51:17 AM »
A quick bit of Googling shows that goods are shipped from Oakland to Guam via Honolulu, both by sea and by air.

Guam is a small place so shipping goods via Japan and Alaska may make economic sense for some shippers.

The lack of these actual non-stop-stop flights taking place
Where's your evidence that any of these flights are not happening?

Can you look directly at the sun without it burning your eyes (or at least feeling like that)? Whether you observe the sun with your eyes or an IR thermometer it is exactly the same.

It takes light 8 minutes to get to the sun. So is a infrared thermometer faster than light?
Why does it matter how far away the sun is? Light isn't going to the sun, radiation is coming from the sun.

I think you misunderstand how an infrared thermometer works. All it does is record the radiation falling on it, so it isn't surprising that when you point it at the sun it reads a higher temperature.

Flat Earth Theory / Re: Can FE disprove the RE explanation of Gravity?
« on: August 27, 2019, 12:43:55 PM »
I am unsure if gravity explains why there are variations of gravity.
Gravity varies across the earth's surface due to different distance (e.g. at altitude) from the centre of mass of the earth and due to different densities of the rock.

In the RE model the earth is orbiting the sun and the moon is orbiting the earth. With all are knowledge of gravity we are unable to calculate this orbit. Mathematically it does not work. Google the three body problem.

The three body problem is either impossible or virtually impossible. The problem with the round earth model is that there are more than three bodies in our solar system. There are hundreds. With the laws of gravity being unable to explain 3 of these bodies let alone 300 it's evidence that maybe the solar system functions in a different way.
The three body problem has no analytical solution i.e. you cannot write a formula giving the positions and velocities of the objects at time t. This does not mean "Mathematically it does not work". It is not evidence that the solar system functions in a different way.

It seems that any round earth observation that cannot be fully explained is dismissed as wrong, but any vaguely plausible interpretation of data that supports a flat earth is proof.

Flat Earth Theory / Re: Clarifications on UA
« on: July 19, 2019, 01:42:33 PM »
From Encyclopedia Britannica:
Quote
Gravitational mass is determined by the strength of the gravitational force experienced by the body when in the gravitational field g.
Move the body to a different gravitational field and you will get a different force. But the mass remains the same.

Gravity does change in different gravity environments, however. Thus gravitational mass will not be equal to inertial mass.
You seem to be confusing gravitational mass with weight. On Jupiter an object will weigh more than it does on earth but its gravitational mass will stay the same.

A very wild and surprising coincidence, indeed, that Gravitational Mass should exactly equal Inertial Mass on Earth to the best resolution of modern physics.
This equivalence is not unique to Earth.

You seem confused - the scientific definition of the equinox , which I quoted , is taken from the timeanddate website . The two instances when the earth tilt is not angled toward or away from the sun , six months apart .
And this should give ,as near as possible , equal day and night . All in any scientific dictionary and a consequence of earth orbiting the sun with a tilt of 66.6 degrees .

So you agree with the heliocentric model.

you can't fit equinoxes within the heliocentric model without waffle .

Hmmm...

Flat Earth Community / Re: ISS Open For Business
« on: June 18, 2019, 11:33:47 AM »
Gravity in the ISS is about 90% of what it is on the earth's surface so it is nowhere near zero gravity. While it doesn't affect your question about how to simulate microgravity I think it is important to be accurate while battling scientific ignorance. Some members of this forum love to seize on these little details to derail a debate.

Unless we've figured out how to simulate a zero-gravity environment for extended period of time I think that should be pretty convincing evidence of being out of the effects of gravity/UA.
How do you suppose that long term (days or weeks) zero gravity would be simulated on such a trip?
The ISS is not zero-gravity. If it was, it wouldn't be in orbit around the earth.

Flat Earth Theory / Re: The Green Flash
« on: November 27, 2018, 03:05:41 PM »
I brought that up to make the point that direct observations of the Earth should trump indirect evidences like the green flash.
It doesn't work like that. You can't say that because you can see no curvature then you can discount all evidence of curvature. If you are promoting a scientific model for something then you need to be able to explain all evidence.

It is the burden of proof of the one who makes the positive claim that the green flash proves RE to not only supply the RE explanation but to prove that no FE explanation is possible.
No it's not. If RE has an explanation for an observation then that is more weight in favour of RE. If supporters of FE can explain it, then that is weight in favour of FE.

RE can explain all these observations, FE cannot. So the weight of evidence is in favour of RE. In fact, the weight is so in favour of RE that is an accepted scientific fact.

Flat Earth Theory / Re: Amateur radio shows the earth is round

I was pointing out the fallacy of MiraculumHelix's post. Why didn't he get a warning for not contributing to the discussion?
I started this thread but no one has actually given a flat earth explanation of my observations. If they did, I'd be delighted to have a discussion with them.

I'm pretty certain that all the flat earthers are amateurs so I guess they know nothing as well.

Flat Earth Theory / Re: Acceleration of the earth
« on: September 19, 2018, 01:37:18 PM »
I don't think all that many FE'ers "deny gravity", and that's with me generously assuming that you meant "gravitation".

So why is the force of gravity perpendicular to the surface and not towards the North Pole? Why doesn't gravity cause the earth to form into a sphere like all other observable planets?

Flat Earth Theory / Re: Amateur radio shows the earth is round

What does this have to do with my question? How does it explain my observations?

Flat Earth Theory / Re: Amateur radio shows the earth is round

The replies to me have all been low content. I have a round earth explanation for how radio propagation works at different frequencies but I have yet to see a flat earth explanation.

So the Flat Earthers cannot explain my observations. Clearly the earth is round.
