This is a 1980 article about Charles K. Johnson, who managed to bring FES membership to 3,000. He also was the first, along with his wife, to disperse newsletters to the public on the FES.

I've started up a History page for the wiki. So far all that's on it is an overview of what was on Wikipedia, and there's a lot more to be added, so anyone that can contribute please do so.

I know the button is there, but .org has a bar at the top-right corner of its page for a quick search. It saves a little mouse clicking.

I used it if I needed to see if a topic had been discussed before. If I was searching based on who posted or needed to find a specific thread I used the refined search.

I think thork makes a valid point about splitting the forums. I don't think different font colors would be necessary though. The difference should be apparent to anyone reading the descriptions, or even just the titles of the fora.

« on: December 01, 2013, 10:23:37 PM »as I read FES.org has had 131 posts made today. I has also had 323 spam bot accounts created today because someone has removed the site's protection.
Its crawling in bots.
This site has 260 posts today so far. A 2:1 win for the new site with 27 accounts created, all genuine.
The site also randomly switches you from the old .org server to the new .org server. So basically there are 2 groups of posters simultaneously posting on the site and separate of each other.
