So how have you demonstrated that they're deleting messages and not archiving them? Because you've just outlined that the act of removing the message is very preventable.

Err...
The information I presented literally says it automatically deletes messages once read.  Not sure how that says that the act of removing the message is very preventable.

So yes, they could write an "archive" feature in but from the looks of it, said feature is not currently in the app.

How did you get access to look at it?
I downloaded it.
You... you realize it's a publicly available app, right?  It's got a website with a big download button.

No, but software that encrypts then deletes messages automatically does.
That's completely incorrect. Any client could trivially archive messages.
Sure, if said client supports it.

One of the programs listed is Confide.
Here's the FAQ:

https://getconfide.com/faq

Quote
How does it work? It's really simple. Receive messages from your friends and colleagues, "wand" over the words with your finger or mouse to read them, and watch them disappear without a trace when you're done. They're gone for good — no forwarding, no printing and no archiving.
How secure is this and do messages really disappear? We employ end-to-end encryption to ensure conversations remain confidential and are private to you. Even we at Confide cannot decrypt or see any messages. Yes, after messages are read once they disappear.

Right, but the use of an end-to-end encryption solution does not inherently prevent archival. It might be the case that these messages are currently not being archived appropriately, but we have yet to see whether or not that's the case.

This sounds like part of the recent assault on end-to-end encryption, in which a few seemingly tyrannical groups are trying to spread distrust around the subject of cybersecurity. It's a bit scary tbh

No, but software that encrypts then deletes messages automatically does.

Remember when Republicans (and Trump) were screeching about this very thing with Hillary's e-mail server?
Frankly, I don't. I remember the outrage over woefully insufficient security measures combined with attempts at obstruction of justice. Not good security measures potentially* getting in the way of transparency.

* - n.b. not necessarily, as the article rightly points out

Oh no, I mean the whole "OMG!  Clinton deleted e-mails!" part.  Where it was "She deleted e-mails that should have been archived!"

Tons of people kept quoting some records act that said she had to keep all her e-mails.

How can a religion that doesn't believe in God be satanic?  Satan is from God.  Like literally since God made everything.
Secondly, one world religion is literally the goal of most religions in the world.  Christians, Jews, and Muslims all want there to be only one world religion.  God himself all but said it.
And really, if god didn't want us to be proud of our achievements, why the hell would he give us brains?  Why not make us like gold fish, stupid and unable to do anything more than fling poo and look pretty?

How can a religion that doesn't believe in God be satanic? .... because Satan is the enemy of God and the father of murder and lies - the father of all false belief / error - even atheism
Satan is from God .... no, Satan is a (free willed) rebellious angel at war with God
Christians, Jews, and Muslims all want there to be only one world religion .... um, no .... Christians believe in and point to Jesus Christ the son of God / God manifest in the flesh
Muslims believe that God has no son .... Jews (Judaism) rejects Jesus as the son of God (for now)
only one world religion.  God himself all but said it ..... um, no .... not according the the revelation of God (the Bible) = Jesus is THE way / THE truth and THE life .... there is no salvation under any other name
and no .... God does not intend for you to fling poo
if god didn't want us to be proud of our achievements, why the hell would he give us brains? .... man by his own wisdom cannot find God ..... Since we have accepted the technology of the atom and have rejected the sermon on the mount .. we therefore now live in a society full of nuclear giants and ethical infants

Actually I was more like:

God made Lucifer as an angel.  If you fail to believe in God, then Lucifer can't exist as his existence relies on God making him.  So yes, Satan is from God.  God is literally Satan's father.

All 3 of those religions proclaim themselves to be the one true interpretation.  And those who disbelieve are heretics who will go to Hell.  You can figure out the rest from there.

You literally just made my point.  "Jesus is THE way / THE truth and THE life .... there is no salvation under any other name"  How can there be ANY OTHER RELIGION if Christianity is literally the only correct one?

I'd agree but we're more like teenagers, not infants.  The Jews of old were infants, whining and crying, making rules on what you can and can't eat because you didn't know how to cook it properly.  Waging wars and slavery.  Oh yes, Slavery was a thing.  And quite common.  But I guess us infants are ethically worse..  Oh look, less slavery.  Huh...

Obvious troll is obvious.
Well, yeah, but I like to eat troll bait.  It tastes like chicken.

He was a good enough bluffer to trick the American people into electing him president, despite literally every indication that he was an awful person who would prove to be an awful president.

And he continues to con his supporters into thinking he's working for them despite all the evidence to the contrary. He's a downright modern-day PT Barnum this one is.

Telling people what they want to hear isn't a bluff, it's a con.

People also have a tendency to want something they don't understand.

Well... if this isn't misdirection, I don't fucking know what is.

Also, he's a terrible bluffer.  I'd love to play poker with him, I'd win every time.  And I fucking suck at poker.

The senate has gotten the bill out in public.  Finally.

Now to read it, digest it, and then vote on it in about a week.

But I thought health care bills were supposed to be passed first, and then we could find out what is in them.
Not when 50% of your bill is removing lines from another bill.

Sorry .... but you cannot eliminate Belief (religion) .. even atheism (the religion of man being in the place of God) ....
there are only two "religions" in the world ...
the religions of Human achievement (Satanic) and the one "religion" of divine accomplishment (Jesus / God)
............. indeed, as we approach the final days what will emerge is an earthy One-World-Religion devised by man
this earthy One-World-Religion will attempt to silence all opposition and especially the one Biblical Religion of divine accomplishment as we see today
..................... dadmansabode.com
BTW .... this supposed "peace" people are attempting to achieve will be a false peace ... and then sudden destruction will come ... see Revelation 6 .... are we there yet ??

London just needs to post "no van zone" signs on sidewalks and then that will solve the problem.

Or outlaw vans except for police.

But then, only the criminals will have vans. :(

Well I don't think van hire firms are doing enough to vet their customers. A simple questionnaire, "Do you intend to mow down innocent passers by due to deeply held, badly thought through prejudices?" would have stopped it all.

Before people start fighting me over the subject, I first want to say that actually I am a Christian and I go to church every Sunday and participate in many of the church's activities. However, I am really convinced that if we go back the moment humans were created on this earth, and take away every religion, there will be world peace... I don't know about you but I would really love to know your opinions.

Nope.

Religion is an excuse to divide, not the reason for division.

Comey is fucking neutral? Where did you ever get that impression?

I swear you really do think if you just say something it makes it true.

Comey said HIMSELF, under oath, that Trump's comments about Flynn DID NOT QUALIFY Obstruction of Justice.
So?
Comey is not the FBI director anymore and thus did not bring these charges up.

Trump's replacement pick did.

aaaannnd...

He's not officially under investigation.

Congrats Trump, all you had to do was keep your mouth shut but nope.  You just had to tweet.  Now you're fucked.

Obstruction of justice for obstructing an investigation that doesn't even exist. You can't make this shit up.
Obstruction of justice for an investigation that totally did exist.  You know, the whole Michael Flynn one?  The one that Trump FIRED him over?  That one?

Oh and firing Comey.
The FBI director.
Whose neutral.

Cause when someone's investigating your team, best fire him, right?

i believe gun control is good.  i believe murdering republicans is bad.  those two things aren't in conflict.  they're actually mutually supporting.  reasonable people can disagree about what forms of self defense should be legal, and agree that murdering republicans is always morally evil.

No one is debating whether or not those two things are mutually exclusive, but you.

The questions is: Is it morally right to, through the media, basically incite violence against opposing idealogies.
Literall Trump on the campaign tail.

Also, if Americans should have the right to defend themselves, why are different ideologies not a threat?
I mean, if a bunch of people were trying to push islamic law into government, shouldn't Americans fight back?
If the liberals are pushing control and violence, shouldn't the right fight back?

It seems to me that if the liberals are trying to push their ideology, then its the right of Americans to fight back.  With violence if necessary.  Don't you agree?

More violence from the right I see.  :-\

But hey they were GOP so they deserved it. Their hate speech and refusal to outright ban AR-15's brought this upon themselves.

So ironic that the left, as the Champions for Women's rights, always finds a way to blame the victim.

who is blaming the gop for getting shot at?

All the people who invariably are going to call for stricter gun laws as a result of this.

The media has been insinuating that conservatism is racist, sexist, and a threat to society. They paint our President as Hitler and a Russian spy. They say that pulling out of the Paris agreement will make seas rise and pestilence spread. They are basically (not so) subtly inciting violence, that the right maniac will think is righteous and believe to be justified.

Yet again, it becomes increasingly clear that most of the violence, hatred, and intolerance is coming from the supposed peaceful tolerant left.
From the gun hating left?

Also, wasn't it trump who said we should punch people?
