I like that they're breaking conventions but imo this game looks too Ubisoft-y. There's nothing groundbreaking about the western sandbox formula anymore when there's a hundred games like it.

Either way, I'll never play it, not owning a WiiU, nor knowing anybody who does.

Good thing it'll be on the NX as well...

Also, why isn't Link a girl?!?!?!

I don't like that they're breaking conventions but I agree with everything else.

Some guy at work started ranting and raving about it. I'm not crazy about sandboxes to begin with and I'm definitely not going to play a such a cheesy cartoonish one. I guess I'm just not that interested in Zelda games anymore.

Yeah, I'll definitely be buying another overpriced Nintendo Console with no 3rd-party support and no games except yet another half dozen Mario Party titles...

I will, that's been the only reason to buy Nintendo for a while now... Although, had I known sooner they were launching the NX, I wouldn't have bought a WiiU.

The Wii U has the best exclusives of this console generation imo.

aren't all zelda games fundamentally the same game? Why does anyone ever get excited about new ones?

Yeah I have, and they're all pretty much, at a fundamental level, the same game, just with different graphics and a novel item here and there. They're not bad games, but really, how excited can one get about a game they've already played? You should only get excited about a new Zelda game if you haven't ever actually played a Zelda game before.

Okay nice trolling

<Rushy> I don't troll

Anyway, don't be mad because I'm just pointing out a truth of the series. All zelda games carry the same basic features such as gathering 3 of something, then MASTER SWOOOOOROD then seven of something. You gather the somethings a little differently each game, and each game has its own gimmicks, but at the end of the day they're all the same game. None of them are inherently mind blowing or ground breaking.

You know how I know you're trolling? You didn't even take the time to research just how different this game is from all previous Zelda titles. Like I said, it's closer to a western sandbox RPG than anything else in the series.
