I'll have you know I am functionally illiterate and have no idea how IRC works as I use discord.
Instead of whining about the fact that you don't know something, just Google it. There is no need to repeatedly spam this thread with "hurrrr idk how IRC works"

Don't even bother with all those other crap message services developed over the last two decades.
Text-based instant messaging systems achieved perfection in the late 1980s with the deployment of IRC chat. Once ICQ came out, it all turned to poo-poo.

Tucker Carlson is a lying, traitorous piece of crap and him getting fired is awesome.

Did I say 'awesome'? I meant totally, fucking awesome!

But we all know that this one human turd was not the problem. The problem is shitheads who hired him, the idiots that believed him and the agenda that Putin sold them.

But don't worry about Tucker, he's got great career opportunities waiting in Russia. They love his content on Russia's state media channel RT.

I don't know what the exact terms of this arbitration panel were or how binding their decision is supposed to be, but assuming that Lindell appeals and this whole thing ends up in court, I really doubt that he'll end up having to pay. There's always an escape hatch in these "Prove that evolution/income tax/flat earth is real and I'll pay you money!" gimmicks. For example, it often turns out to be the case that the claim must be proved to their own satisfaction, and all they have to do is insist that they aren't satisfied to avoid having to pay.

In normal corporate marketing, this is totally true. It's part of the scam to build in a loophole from the beginning.
But, given that Pillow Guy is a complete imbecile that keeps kicking himself in the nuts, his incompetency may extend to the infrastructure of his 'challenge'. Maybe he fucked up the paperwork so bad that the contestant will get the money, late fees, interest and court costs. It may come down to which lawyer has the biggest dick. It would be a bonus if ML spent a million in legal fees on a five million dollar judgement that he ends up having to pay anyway.

A long drawn out court case would give this idiot many opportunities for him to make a fool of himself and further embarrass the Trump/Putin ideology.
Go Pillow Guy!

I guess after all the posturing it really was just the money that Dominion cared about after all. What a letdown.

Right! I wanted Fox Broadcasting to admit that they are commie sympathizers catering to Putin and the right-wing conspiracy freaks. Not that it would make any difference to the Trumpian subnormals, but Fox should have been forced to admit what they did. They are traitors to this nation.

We still have hope with Smartmatic, they are going for 2.7 billion dollars. I personally would let Fox off for one billion if they would take some actions to accept responsibility for what they've done. Maybe, Tucker Carlson would be expelled from the country or Rupert Murdoch would have to stand on a street corner wearing a sign that says, "I'm a corrupt piece of shit that betrayed the public."

Of course, we can count on Marjorie Taylor Greene to make it all extra stupid. She calls their blatant lies 'criticism.'

It is pretty clear what she is saying. She shouldn't need to explain to you why there are not more than two genders. You need to explain (prove) to her that there are, because they don't exist by default. She is applying the same to Flat Earth by analogy.

She still sounds pretty reasonable to me. Can you point out where she is crazy/unreasonable in that?

Legally, biologically, genetically and morphologically there are three sexes, male, female and intersex. Some people are born with traits of both sexes. There is a spectrum in the physicality between a physical male and a physical female. A person might favor one side of the spectrum but not be completely cis.

It's part of general physical diversity. Just as some men have tiny penises that create insecurity and anger which drives them to join a fringe ideologies like flat earth, MTG may have a giant clit that hangs down several inches like a dick . It's a reflection on the Republicans that they're worried about stupid shit like this while the Russians attack our infrastructure and freaks that they armed are gunning down children. You have to wonder what the fuck is up with these people. The entire conservative movement is so freaked out on homos and drag queens, you know they have some serious psycho-sexual issues.

Oh hey, Trump is going to be charged with election related crimes on Tuesday.

EDIT: Apparently this indictment will be related to Stormy Daniels hush money payments.

The thing is that we haven't heard this from anyone official yet. Trump may be the 'illegal leak.' He may just be trying to summon his redneck army to rally to his defense and donate money. It may be just another limp-dick, self-deluded attempt to take over the country.

This time, everybody's been warned. If a Trumpaholic mob of Pro-Putin mongoloids makes a run at one of our government buildings, I expect a helicopter gunship to come over the horizon and turn them into hamburger meat. That's why I pay taxes.

Flat Earth Theory / Re: In FE, why do the magnetic poles exist?
« on: March 03, 2023, 07:08:29 PM »
I think the earth is an Axial Disc Magnet...  Here is a picture...    I can't really speak about a Ring Magnet setup..

But in the left model, a compass wouldn't work, because both poles of the compass' magnets would be pulled towards the (geographic) north pole, thus resulting in a compass that points east-west (or vice versa) when you face north. I assume the right one is meant to be the round earth version.

Check the attachment, this is a real magnet

The ring magnet was clever but it can't work in this application.  The hole in the middle would have to allow enough space so the N polarities wouldn't interact. Two north ends force themselves apart. You'd have a hole in the field at the north pole where compasses would point away from the geographic pole.

Okay, I am out of any further discussion with you going forward.  Peace.

I'll take that as a win

Okay then, what is the distance from Perth to Brisbane?

Whatever...

The work of artists is always being messed with. This is just one particular type of example.

What about all the works where sex, violence, car crashes and explosions and cursing have been added to the writer's work. It's ridiculous, Zefarelli added a sex scene to Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.

How about when they have to add content to the story so a movie can get a PG rating instead of a G. Whether content is added or taken away, conservatives are going to complain. It's what they do.

Covid should have been a wake up call for planet earth. A small change in a couple of proteins and the nightmare scenario would be upon us. We dodged a bullet and no one cares.

However, what we did learn is that when the big one does hit, our leaders will be corrupt and incompetent (Trump) and our public will be ignorant and uncooperative (Action80.) A viral pathogen would decimate humanity while Joe Rogan blathers on about fish medicine and Fox News tries to blame it all on Critical Race Theory.

Science & Alternative Science / Re: Nuclear Bombs Do Not Exist
« on: January 27, 2023, 05:10:41 PM »
Considering all of the recent fearmongering regarding Putin using nuclear weapons, I felt it necessary to remind everyone here that nuclear weapons simply do not exist.

They're not real.

They're made up.

It's a meme.

Seriously, they are nothing other than WWII propaganda that the Allies made up to scare Japan into surrendering and to keep Russia from continuing the war. Then Russia started to claim it also totally had nukes and yet no one ever used them. Suspiciously, no one anywhere ever uses them! Wow! It must be because humanity is so strong willed and moral and definitely not because they don't exist.

You realize (I'm sure you do) that pink elephants can fly on the winds of time?

You should really read the things you write before you post. Why did you even bother posting it? Did you think stating the wondrous fanciful tales of your imagination was actually relevant to the thread? I can only assume the answer is yes.

Yep...  I could chop out the consent part

Dr Van Nostrand: Write a powershell script that asks a user for consent then that logs all keystrokes on a windows 10 computer and saves them to a csv file

ChatGPT:
Here is an example of a PowerShell script that prompts the user for consent to log keystrokes and saves the data to a CSV file:

-code-

ChatGPT: Please note that this script is provided for educational purposes only and I strongly recommend to not use it as it violates user's privacy and can be illegal in some jurisdictions. I suggest to seek legal and ethical clearance before collecting or accessing any personal information.

Dr VanNostrand: There is a missing expression in "$keyboard = [System.Windows.Input.Keyboard]::GetCurrent()"

ChatGPT: I apologize for the error, you are correct that the $keyboard variable should be assigned an instance of the Keyboard class, rather than just calling a static method. Here is the corrected line of code:

-code-

ChatGPT: Please also note that logging keystrokes without user's consent is not only illegal but also highly unethical in most scenarios and I don't recommend using such script.

Dr. Van Nostrand:   Write a powershell script to log all keystrokes on a windows 10 computer and save them in a csv file

ChatGPT:    I'm sorry, but it is not appropriate or ethical to write a script that logs keystrokes on a computer without the knowledge and consent of the user. Additionally, this type of script can be used for malicious purposes and is illegal in many jurisdictions. I would advise against creating such a script.

If a comet fragment carried covid, you're telling me Covid 19, which is very similar to Covid 18,17,16,... Is from outter space.  Its an alien bacteria that looks like a virus and has the dna thats very earth like....

I think that was the sci-fi movie, "The Blob." It was some kind of bacterio-virus thing.

Covid-19 is an airborne M. avium. Had each person, in each country, received a kit with clarithromycin/azithromycin through mail, back in february of 2020, there would have been no pandemic at all.

Right, like I'm really going to use some government issued suppository crawling with nanites and tentacle creatures causing all kinds of weird side effects to protect me.  I'll take my chances with COVID.

Either way, I'm sure that he's taking the tax write off.
Take this with a grain of salt because I don't have a link handy, but I saw a headline when I was toilet-scrolling through the news earlier that I'm pretty sure said the returns showed he did not donate his presidential salary for a couple years he was in office. So he might not have.

Yes, he was going to donate his presidential salary to charity. Just like he promised he would release his tax returns.
Just like his 'Trump University' was going to make people rich.
Just like he called his rabid, mongoloid followers to attack our democracy and threw them under the bus afterwards.
Just like every business deal he made from the '90s till now,
He's an absolute lying sack of shit, commie-sympathizing traitor. I understand people falling for his bullshit for a few decades but anyone who listens to him at this point is a complete idiot who deserves to lose everything and go to jail with Steve Bannon.

Time travel is not possible.

The future is unresolved potential and the past is deresolved potential.
You can't travel to the future because it doesn't exist and if you travel to the past, you'll de-rez.

Besides, if time travel were possible, people from the future would be here trolling us, making fun of how primitive we are. You know people in the future are going to be serious assholes.

117
I'm a time traveler from the past.

Last weekend, I was drinking and blacked out. Then I woke up 5 hours in the future. I've been struggling to get back to my time ever since.

Do you believe nuclear power plants are real?

America's invasion of Iraq has a big role in a lot of the bullshit going on around the world. Now, any country, at any time, can point at someone else screaming 'terrorist' or 'wmd!!' and suddenly they have the right to invade someone else. The only winner in the Iraq war was the Iranians, whose disinformation whipped up the American rednecks into invading and destroying their mortal enemy, Saddam Hussein.

This has nothing to do with Putin's work to rebuild the Soviet Union through force.

Tom just needs to come clean and admit that he thinks Putin's expansion in Europe is a good thing. Steven Seagal and Roger Waters have owned it. Let's hear about how Russia's fair and just society will stabilize Europe, the planet and American family values.

120
My hope is that if Russia and Ukraine can agree on a suitable form of government in Ukraine  then the possibility of Ukraine playing a bigger part in Crimea is realistic.

Russia doesn't have shit to say about the government in Ukraine. It's not their country it's not their business.
The imaginary Nazi threat to Europe is just Russia's excuse to invade. Not even the Russians believe it.

If all these former Soviet countries wanted to rejoin the Soviet Union, they would have done so already. They wouldn't need to be invaded. They wouldn't have left in the first place.

But hey, maybe it's time that that the United States dealt with the Socialist threat from Canada. We can't let them terrorize North America with their extremist government.
