Just started watching that cartoon myself. It is pretty good,  certainly much better than the other cartoon series.

I watched about 20 minutes of it at work. I was surprised at how well done it was. Some of the fight scenes are pretty cool too.

It seems to be 80% fight scenes. Which isn't a bad thing at all given how fun they are.

The prequels aren't the worst movies ever by any stretch of the imagination, but they're definitely a case of the bad outweighing the good.  From a critical eye, they're actually fascinating to watch, almost as a "what not to do" guide to filmmaking.

I feel like any movie described as a "what not to do guide to filmmaking" has to be one of the worst movies ever by definition.

They also transformed glorious Star Wars lore in to over-simplified crap.

I just finished watching it again.

So good.  You can tell the animation was rushed but I fail to care.  The story is awesome.
If you are going to DebOOonK an expert then you have to at least provide a source with credentials of equal or greater relevance. Even then, it merely shows that some experts disagree with each other.

I actually liked the animation a fair bit.

I've heard how bad they are, but its part of the canon and I will watch it because of that. Grievous was bad ass if I remember correctly.

Don't put yourself through episode II. It's about 19 hours long, filled with a teenage Anakin Skywalker whining about not being at the head of a major galactic organisation of psychic warriors.

Episode I was a bad film, but at least it was fun to watch in places, EpII is one of the dullest films I've ever seen. A friend and I watched all six a few months ago back-to-back over a few nights, the only reason we didn't just give up on EoII and have an early night was that it would have felt like cheating.

I don't see why.  A huge number of movies are made incompetently, and yet they vary wildly in quality, from mediocre to terrible to accidental masterpieces.  With the prequels specifically, the mistakes made are so clear and obvious (especially in comparison to the existing trilogy) that they lend themselves naturally to some very elementary film criticism, as we saw in the RLM reviews.

Nope, Trek. It has God beings in it that control the universe.

No, Star Wars. Trek Gods can't control the Star Wars universe, obviously.

The Trek universe is mostly ruled by good guys, while the Wars universe is mostly ruled by bad guys. Everyone knows the good guys always win, so it'd be Trek by a landslide.

This is sound logic. I'm going with this.
