I've been around so many peeps for the holidays, close quarters, even kissed a women vaccinated who got it. I should of tongued her. Daughter unvaxxed got it same crowd, sore throat and headache, tossed her some Ivermectin early with C and told her to man up. 4 days now, over it. This thing is a nothing burger.

Yeah I know a guy that said the same thing. Of course, he spent five days on a ventilator in the Intensive Care Unit while the doctors he accused of being charlatans saved his life.

I'm finding the vaccinated not to be the compassionate and loving people they profess to be. It seems they aren't interested in my welfare at all. They are only interested in being right and if my death proves that, it's a good thing. Pious bastards.   

I don't know where you get your information about vaccinated people but we are not compassionate and loving people concerned about being right or concerned about your welfare.

We're taking up arms to defend our communities and families against a zombie horde of ignorant rednecks spreading disease because they believe stupid crap on the internet.

We must do whatever we can to stop the unvaccinated before they succeed in breeding their ultimate variant to wipe us all out.

There are two level 3 remote workers from Pakistan, probably being paid $5 an hour for way more advanced work. They manage all of the ESXi machines in the office.

They took mah job!!!

Anytime I have call for support on any computer, application, or software platform, I know the guy answering the phone is 3 or 4 levels below the guy I need to talk to.

Taking Security + in a couple of weeks...  I'll be qualified for some $10 an hour Pakistani job.

In fairness, 175 GB file is pretty big.  Might be a limit of their OS.

I would be ok with it if they said "All You Can Eat In 3  Hours - $3.99" or "All You Can Eat (up to 18 pounds) - $3.99"
BUT THEY SAID "ALL YOU CAN EAT!"

It's a typical Linux web server split up into dozens of small webhosts. I could have my 175 Gb if some people would just scoot over a little.

I've been looking at the arithmetic and I may be able to cobble together an AWS solution affordably.

You can do that stuff with a traditional VPS provider too. That's my preference for my personal servers, including the one that runs this forum, because I don't have the requirements of scale to justify proper cloud infrastructure.

Yeah, that's where I'm getting screwed. The thing is my web host package is not an actual VPS. It is a shared VPS. Nobody on the server has any root privileges.

But here's the fucked-up twist. They have a VPS web hosting package but it is literally 10 times the cost and you only get 120 gig of disk space.

I may just need to search traditional web hosting services more thoroughly.
I saw a hosting special package from Brave that was $99 for a lifetime web hosting. The specs look similar to what I have but at $99 for life, it wouldn't piss me off as bad.

Dr Van Nostrand reviews iBrave lifetime webhosting.

I tried for days to reach a human being on the phone. They only respond to support tickets. I guess it saves wasted time with low level support people.

For me this isn't about government mandates. This is a private sector thing.
In my factory, I'm paying for health insurance. I'm responsible for the safety of the people here. I have to breathe in your pathogens.
If you want to work here, you get vaccinated.

If you have some problem with getting vaccinated, this isn't the job for you. Just like a vegetarian Hindu is not going to work in a slaughterhouse.

Ok, so Suckgator has pissed me off big time again and I'm thinking it may be time to leave the old school webhost-server model and move my entire web presence to the cloud.

Who's doing what in the cloud? Does it suck more? is it more expensive?

The cool thing about a cloud service is that I could spin up cool servers. I would have root privileges to install cool software. I could close off thousands of unused ports that the Russians are pounding on night and day. I could back it all up in a massive image.

The uncool thing is that it is still expensive per gig and I'm handling about 160 Gb. I don't use a lot of bandwidth so I could go cheap on that angle of it.

Also, I need DV certs for the actual websites and I'm guessing that I may be on my own dealing with some CA to get them instead of a host providing them.

Anybody running webservers from a cloud service?

I finally decided to accept a job at an MSSP. Their official requirements were 3 years work experience in IT and a BS in computer science or IT. I don't have any of those yet. Do these companies just put really high requirements and hope someone more qualified will take the bait?

That's really encouraging. I'm going to be leaving my current job in a couple of years and want to make my "red team hobby" into my full time job.

I think certifications are starting to carry as much weight as college degrees. I run a small manufacturing facility and I do all the IT in the building including managing half of the corporate VPN. If I had to hire someone to do the IT part of my job, a person with some Cisco and Microsoft certs would be in a much better position to hit the ground running than a fresh graduate with just a BS in computer science.

When I get into IT full time, I'm assuming that I will be competing with bright, young people who have degrees and certs. But hopefully, I can pitch my certs, my real world experience and almost twenty years of experience managing websites to get something cool. Also, without a bunch of student debt, I can beat them out with a cheaper salary requirement.

Maybe, you just beat out all those candidates that had three years of IT and a degree, fair and square.

Dude! I have to admit, I'm kind of impressed. Not just at your scene (which captured the moment when I personally fire employees) but that you would share it.

You know that you run the risk of some animal here taking a screencap from that video and using your face on some kind of meme or deepfake porn or something.

I'm thinking about doxxing myself a little and opening up more to this community. After all, you've shown your face and Thork showed his abs and his junk, the secret Santa thing is rolling. A number of members speak openly about the specific cities they live in. Maybe we could be more that a bunch of arguing people being shitty to each other.
