Title: Permanent forum staff assignments have been made
Post by: xasop on December 08, 2013, 03:09:09 PM: It's official, we've selected our new forum staff! These selections were made by mutual agreement between myself and pizaaplanet, along with the consent of those we made offers to.

Your new forum administrators are:

junker
Parsifal
pizaaplanet

Your new planar moderators are:

Blanko
Gayer
jroa
Roundy
Supertails

These assignments should be sufficient for the time being, as we don't yet have enough traffic to warrant more than five moderators, but we'll see how things go in the future. Meanwhile, the above people are who to contact if you need the hand of a moderator to make a thread sticky or something along those lines.

It just seems like a conflict of interest to me.

They have been decent moderators on the old forum, and I see no reason to believe that they won't continue to be decent moderators here. I'd rather not prejudge them based on their posting habits elsewhere.

I fail to understand why that's a problem. If they're decent moderators elsewhere, that speaks for them, not against them.

They are moderators. We don't care where their "hearts" are if they can do the job well.

Pointless discrimination. If they decide to quit or become inactive, we'll replace them. This applies equally to the mods from the other forum, and ones who have never moderated it.
