I have heard Crudblud's music and a bit of Parsifal's. Is there anybody else here who likes to record? I do, but I haven't made anything I'm confident posting yet. Hopefully that changes soon.
Anyways, this thread is for the discussion of any music you have worked on or are currently working on. Post if you can, I'd love to hear!

I don't play any instruments but I've made some stuff in various programs; lately I've used Propellerhead Reason, though by "lately" I mean "not as much as I'd like 'cause I'm too impatient to learn it". So I've made stuff here and there.
Mainly I just want to get a piano so I can learn that. :[

I play guitar in a band, but I don't have any current recordings. We are right in the middle of trying to find a new drummer. We play some sort of hard rock/metal.

I used the demo version of reason (which I think is actually the full version). It takes a lot to learn a DAW. I can't honestly say that I have a preference at this point. I have also tried reaper. Both of those free trials have expired so I'm left with audacity alongside a few other programs. Not a DAW but good for what I need, and a great value too (free)!
But yeah, piano is the way you want to go if you want to learn music. Even if you can get like a three octave keyboard to use with your computer programs. You can get them at a fairly low price, too.

I technically didn't make that. It was born out of necessity because reasons. I had no control.

I have a few projects in the works at the moment, I doubt any will be ready before the new year, however. I don't really want to say much about them because I tend to lose interest in a project when it's out in the open like that, it feels like the piece is already finished even though it does not yet truly exist.

I'm the opposite. I like talking about what I'm doing while it's happening so I can look back and see how it has changed since I started. Before now, that mostly involved confiding in my brother, but now I have a place to write down what I'm thinking, so I'll do that here.

Not a DAW but good for what I need, and a great value too (free)!
Ardour is both free and a DAW, and a damn good one. It doesn't run on Windows, though; Linux and Mac only, and the Mac release tends to lag behind in features.

The Ardour website refers windows users to Harrison Mixbus. I'll have a look at that, I think.

I've dabbled with recording. I play piano a little, and guitar, but don't sing (working on that though).
I use Cool Edit Pro with a Zoom R8 and two mics. It was a mic set with a vocal and instrument mic, but I need to pick up another instrument mic. I love the sound I get recording the acoustic guitar with two strategically placed mics.
Anyway, only recording I've really done yet was a zombie movie soundtrack (10 tracks I think) before I knew what I was doing and before I had the R8, an acoustic cover of Vanilla Ice 'Ice Ice Baby' and a couple other songs I can't think of, some slide guitar for a zombie movie intro, and a bunch of experimental tracks.
Working on getting a computer set up in one room, with cables going to the monitor, keyboard, and mouse in the recording room.

I was showing a friend of mine that Zoom recorder and the microphones I had just purchased.
The guitar was in hand.
That song popped into his head for whatever reason.
Alcohol was involved.
I need to finish touching it up (I didn't have a 'pop filter' for the vocal mic) and I'll post it here sometime.

My piano playing is in no way spectacular. I have only studied piano for about 2 years. I have been playing sax for 8.
Ignore the interview that plays after the piano piece. It was a school project. I guess soundcloud plays all uploads in order.

I don't music .However, one of my poems is used in the background to an in-production traditional Irish music band.

I mentioned on the old site a project I was working on. If you recall, my goal was to compose a saxophone solo for concert band. We performed about two weeks ago and my director recorded it.
