More things to do.
« on: January 14, 2014, 12:51:04 AM »
I've been a member on this forum since the switch, and whenever I get on TFES I normally hang out in the lower forums. but I find myself bored after a half hour of reading threads. Could we maybe get mini games tab or something?

No interest in actually discussing the earth's shape?  I think there are plenty of other places on the great big 'net to find minigames.  No thanks.

Just go to a flash game site.
I don't even care to find out what you're doing wrong, but I'm sure you're doing something wrong.

I know. I go to y8 for flash games. and yes I do think that the discussion of the Earth's shape is interesting. I could get more involved in the debate, but I don't like how every argument ends up being a contest of who can piss the farthest. Or who can use the most sophisticated vocabulary. And besides I was only making a suggestion..

We need noobs. This has been established. .org is getting every noob and they are almost recovered from the switch. There is way more posting in FE boards over there than the lower fora. We are the opposite. We need to promote ourselves.

Some of us may need to become temporary permanoobs to try and start some debate in the upper forums.

What would be the point of that?

People may be more likely to join and start debating if they see that discussions are already going on.  Having empty upper forums sends the message that nobody cares.

I made a Q&A thread that got like two replies, I don't think the majority of the people on this site actually care about the earth's shape.

I would tend to agree, sadly.

I said I'd be more active in the upper fora for a while and I need to keep to my word on that, and I really will as soon as I actually have time...as it is I'm always busy, it seems. I hate it. :[

People may be more likely to join and start debating if they see that discussions are already going on.  Having empty upper forums sends the entirely accurate message that nobody cares.

Nobody cares, thats why its not active. Debating ourselves is pointless.

Is it?  Are you suggesting that FET is as fully developed as it's going to get?  Or are you saying that nobody actually cares about FET?
