Flat Earth Theory / Re: What causes high/low tide in a FET
« on: February 19, 2017, 11:03:18 AM »
The turtle carrying the flat earth is moving very slowly, making four steps a day, thus tilting the earth slightly each time and the water keeps its level while the land tilts, lol.

This is one of the stupidest posts I have seen, unless the OP is a globe earther. All it is proving is that there are satellites up there taking pictures and that many of the published images are composites or have pixelation which has not been fixed in Photoshop. Looks like it is just a case of NASA bashing.
Why bother with all your calculations when there are satellites up there already producing pictures of the globe earth every day (eg Himawari 8, every 3 minutes so you can view the changing cloud formations on their website with the animation from he previous 24 hours of pictures) . Yes, the Japanese Photoshoppers must be better than NASA's.

Flat Earth Community / Re: Is "gravity" caused by infinite acceleration?
« on: October 20, 2016, 06:13:09 AM »
You will find that FE'ers don't believe in Einstein's theories, but will use part of his works where it suits them; they will not believe in dark matter, but then could use it as part of the theory on how the earth accelerates;  don't believe in satellites and Google maps, but use them to illustrate lens distortion and distances between places on earth; so I leave the conclusion to your judgement.
We cannot reach the speed of light , but we cannot slow the acceleration or people would start becoming weightless, but at least they haven't thought of the solution that the flat earth is in the gravitational orbit of a central God's 'planet', at a constant orbital acceleration of 9.8 mps. Oops, maybe someone will now use this!

Voyager 1 is in deep space now, 135 AU from the sun.

Flat Earth Community / Re: About measurements globe vs. flat earth
« on: October 19, 2016, 06:34:03 PM »
There are no FE'ers left here. I think we should rename it the ex-flat earth society! There is no way for them to respond any more.

A lot of 'perspective' has come up in this post. I have a question to FE'ers regarding the sun 'setting'. How far away from you must the sun be to set over the ocean? Surely if there is a law of perspective and the sun remains at the same height, there should be a set distance for this to occur.

Still waiting!! Any takers?

Flat Earth Community / Re: Where is the edge?
« on: October 18, 2016, 06:23:38 PM »
It makes sense that the edge would be Antarctica why else are we civillians not allowed to travel there?

My best friend is a pilot, he flies Twin Otters for a small cargo company. He is posted there for 2 months every year usually from mid-January to mid-March doing supply runs for the various scientific outposts located all over Antarctica. Pretty sure he would know for sure if it was one big wall around a flat disc. Unless.... omg he must be in on the whole conspiracy as well.

And he would attest to the 24 hour sun, but would be scoffed at and called a NASA agent by the FE'ers, so obviously he is lying! You know you can't win here by knowing someone, that is not how FE works.

Flat Earth Community / Re: What Flat Earth has done for me.
« on: October 18, 2016, 05:58:46 PM »
For me, a round earther who stumbled onto it via YouTube a year ago, it has brought a wealth of knowledge about our planet, solar system, the effects of the atmosphere, how easily people are influenced by what they see, how people react to logic and mathematical proofs, how difficult it is to change someone's mindset even with irrefutable evidence, how so many people think that all the space agencies in the world are fake, how nasty people can be, but above all it has made me laugh a lot! I enjoy the challenge of disproving claims, even when I know that the proofs will be scoffed at, or that my comments will be deleted or not be made public (eg Jeranism, Chippy Chipmunk, GlobeBusters, Russianvids, TheMorgile ....), or the stuff that I post is ignored because there is no counter argument. It has been a fun ride!

Just get someone to fly from South America to South Africa, then on to Australia, and back to South America with regular direct flights. They can check maximum flight speeds and then just do the math! simple, Case closed unless you come up with a new map.

Flat Earth Theory / Re: Opposite theory of gravity
« on: October 17, 2016, 03:05:44 PM »
The following made me chuckle on Flat Wiki under UA near the end.

Q: Why does gravity vary with altitude?
A:: The moon and the stars have a slight gravitational pull.

But they do state that gravitation is not gravity.  ?????

Flat Earth Theory / Re: 1 dollar cost of disproving round map !
« on: October 17, 2016, 02:47:30 PM »
Can't your cellphone or watch be used as a compass? Digital is the way go.

Nor have you taken into account that three different Boeing are being used, with different top speeds, Airbus, Boeing 757 and Boeing 787. What about the wind speeds at the time during their flights! Very scientific approach would take a lot more information into account.

Again, indisputable, so FE silenced! The simple fact is that the Southern Hemisphere is a complete embarrassment to FE'ers! Their model could never work on what is observed from, or distances travelled in, the Southern Hemisphere! I propose a new flat earth map. It is actually 2 maps, one with the current map up to the equator and a second one for the Southern Hemisphere with Antarctica in the center, but they are linked together on the equator by a dimensional rift so that you can travel between the maps via the equator, and sunlight is also able to skip dimensions. Oh crap, someone may take this seriously.

Second question: Why on a clear day do you see a clear line as the horizon at the ocean? This seems intuitive on the FE model, as you can see 3 to 6 miles or so depending on where you are standing, and then if you go to the top of a nearby building the horizon is still clear, but much further away! Surely on a flat earth the horizon would only disappear due to atmospheric distortion, so whatever height you were at, the horizon should be 'fuzzy'.

A lot of 'perspective' has come up in this post. I have a question to FE'ers regarding the sun 'setting'. How far away from you must the sun be to set over the ocean? Surely if there is a law of perspective and the sun remains at the same height, there should be a set distance for this to occur.

Agreed 100%. I have started debunking the YouTubes over the last three months giving proofs and asking questions. It is worse than here! My comments are deleted (DIRTH, Russianvids, Jeranism,G lobeBusters) or blocked from public view (Chippy Chipmunk) or just ignored or deflected. The only way to get to them would be to put up lots of counter videos with the same topic names and plenty of flat earth in the heading and text. I don't have the time or software for that!  And then it would add to the stats mentioned recently that FE is growing despite some of the video are about being debunked!

Flat Earth Theory / Re: ISS nonsense
« on: October 16, 2016, 09:39:55 AM »
They dare not even travel to Antarctica in December because the 24 hour sun would freak them out! In fact they are petrified of the Southern Hemisphere because it destroys all their theories! Are there any FE'ers from the Southern Hemisphere? I doubt it unless the can't go outdoors at all.

I am pretty sure the FE'ers here have taken such a beating that they have submitted! The fight has been forced out of them as everything that they throw at us gets debunked! R I P to this forum!

I have a feeling that the one or two flat earthers left on this site have either finally admitted that they are wrong or their arguments have dried up. No real  answers from them in about a week on any post.
