Title: Flat Earth evidence

Perhaps the best example of Flat Earth proof is the Bedford Level Experiment.
Really? Does sticking some flags in a few miles length of canal actually prove that the Earth is flat?  I don't think so.

How is that more compelling evidence for the Earth being flat over Eratosthenes experiment providing evidence that it isn't flat? Sure you could claim that Eratosthenes was actually calculating the diameter of a flat Earth but in that case depending on where you take the measurements you would get different figures for the distance of the Sun. And that can't be right can it.
