Oh no, it turns out Biden isn't using American taxpayer money to pay off my loans after all. I'll have to pay them back myself, oh the humanity! Responsibility for my own actions? Gross. I perish the thought.
Slapping a bunch of 18 year olds with huge debt because college is ludicrously expensive is rather gross. I would rather our taxes go to making us better than other places. But I think a more important goal is to make college/universities not so stupidly expensive and then implement debt programs.

If we had any real data, the Russians would already have it. (Solarwinds)
I've never seen anything say they have all of the pentagon's data but I guess I wouldn't know.

Also, so? I'm sure Russia has their own UAP data as well. Not sure how that's relevant to discrediting our own whistleblowers.

The U.S. government couldn't keep their most top secret secrets secret, even with an unlimited budget and no ethical oversight.
I don't think they have any physical evidence. But it would be pretty easy to keep data a secret. Or maybe not a secret but discredit enough that it just sounds like crazy conspiracies. They have the extra benefit of a lot of people thinking it's crazy bullshit already.

I don't think we'll ever get disclosure from the government. The "whistleblowers" have popped up too often with no results.

They want to keep all the hot alien babes to themselves.
The most we've gotten is the Pentagon formally acknowledging that one air force video that had already been out for years. And they basically just said "yeah we don't know what this is." Anything more would cause too much panic so they just deny and discredit wherever they can. I doubt they have any "evidence" anyone could get out to the public and any hint of a whistleblower they can deal with pretty easily.

But I don't see why we really need the government to formally address something for the public to believe it.

Even now women are kind of an afterthought when it comes to medical research in general. My sister complains about that all the time, and she can back it up. It's really a shame.
It took me multiple years and multiple OBGYNs before one would listen to my symptoms and even just order bloodwork. Something you'd think would be so simple and obvious. It really is bullshit out here.

So anyway, I get both sides. We absolutely should talk about the shitty side effects of birth control pills but they are also medically necessary for various reasons.

Does birth control increase the risk of suicide or suicidal ideations?
Some people have a negative reaction to certain birth controls and others don't. Doctors need to be better about communicating that shit and also not be so scared of prescribing birth control pills with higher doses of estrogen which can help with mood and low libido which are common symptoms of low estrogen. There's really no reason a young woman with no health issues needs to be on low estrogen bc pills.

But yeah, hormones are fun and tricky and OBGYNs aren't really that great at handling it. Birth control pills are medically necessary for some people but at the same time there's still a lot to figure out about women's health. Yay!

It was garbage. Roughly an hour of a man saying other men told him they saw aliens.
Yep, called it.

People in the UFO circles have been yelling about this shit happening for the past few years now. And yeah, Bob Lazar is allegedly also a whistleblower but he sucks tbh and people in the UFO circles don't even care for him.

What? That's not true, I love Bob and so do many others. His story remains consistent even now after all the years.
General opinion is that he's a grifter who lies about everything and has done more harm than good. Some people do believe him but at the very least he is extremely divisive and I feel like you'd know that if you actually had an interest in this stuff.

DISCLOSURE IS HAPPENING!

People in the UFO circles have been yelling about this shit happening for the past few years now. And yeah, Bob Lazar is allegedly also a whistleblower but he sucks tbh and people in the UFO circles don't even care for him. I definitely believe there has been a disinformation campaign happening. I've read Dr. Hynek's book and he was essentially brought into the Project Blue Book to be a debunker but eventually changed his opinions. He mentioned the Air Force always pushed the narrative they didn't exist and they eventually swapped him out with other project leads.

But this guy has just talked to high ranking people about these crafts? He's never actually seen it himself? Idk how much can come from this one.

It might be too "imaginary" but wouldn't that be how a lot of things seemed before they were scientifically proven? We are simple meat bags, it's very arrogant to assume we know (or can ever know) how everything works when our senses and the way we interact with the world are basic as hell. I mean fuck, medical science can't even figure out what causes endometriosis lol. But it is pointless to discuss anything like that particularly with this group of people.

I want to hook up with a space babe as much as anyone but there are no aliens.
There's no such thing as an 'earth-like' planet.
All the data we have about exoplanets shows our cosmos is an inhospitable sewer. The Drake equation with solve showing one civilization per galaxy.

Aliens aren't real but they do make awesome clickbait
This kind of thinking is too reliant on the assumption that we know how everything works. What if they're from another dimension or time?

All of the songs in Eurovision weren't good
You're right, all of the songs were not good. But some were.

You can hardly blame the juries for their decisions
Of course you can blame them when their votes go against the clear public favorites and have been politically motivated for a long time.

Anyways. Eurovision looks neat. I hope your team wins.
Fantastic. So glad you read the posts in here. Great mods all around, thanks for stopping by.

I wish someone would mansplain Eurovision to me. What’s it like an annual song and dance show and the winner gets crowned Dancing Queen by ABBA?
It's not mansplaining if you don't know what it is and are asking for an explanation.

I hate all of you sm

I started following that guy after I found his Mary on a Cross cover. I like the progression of his background.

I should have started following him sooner though because he often plays with another bardcore artist I like.

Boo.

https://metro.co.uk/2023/05/18/eurovision-abba-wont-perform-despite-sweden-hosting-on-50th-anniversary-18803297/

I'd probably have watched if they had. They should do one last tour, they could charge what they liked. There's the show in London with "ABBAtars", I'm sure it's good but it's stupidly expensive given that it's not actually them.
Good.

Says the winner. Ok ma'am whatever you'd like to tell yourself. ::)

Germany's Lord of the Lost made a cover of Finland's Cha Cha Cha song. I love this kind of support - feels like a 'fuck you' to the juries.

But given that Eurovision is a European thing and you're in the US, there's no reason to think you'd know all the history of Eurovision.
lol I literally made this topic and I've been watching Eurovision for years now, which I've already said. And I already said why Sweden won which should clue you in that I'm aware the songs are never chosen based on merit.

You said yourself it's not really a thing in the US. Would you like any more chips* with your shoulder?
It's not at all but that has nothing to do with how much I know. I only mentioned how it's not a thing here because I've tried getting my friends involved which again should clue you in that I am already a fan.

I still wish they would stop singing in English. Half of the interesting stuff about Europe is the linguistic diversity that was wiped out by colonialism in most other parts of the world. Why suppress it?
Couldn't agree more.
