Philosophy, Religion & Society / Re: Religion and for-profit business

I'm split on this issue. On one hand I think that a corporation who finds it religiously offensive to provide contraceptives (which is a authentic reason, I think) should not be required to. Of course, the flip side is that it would be too easy for any company to claim they are a Christian company, saving money from not having to buy contraceptives.

I suppose there could be guidelines, but I still feel the system would be abused no matter what. Hobby Lobby, from my experience, would be a genuine case for this, but I suppose my final verdict would be to require everyone to comply regardless, as any sort of rules governing this could easily be avoided.

After being a fairly hardcore Christian for the first 18 years of my life (not entirely by choice), I switched to atheism. For me at least, it's much better. Religion was far too stressful for me, I think.

Capitalism has the checks and balances that communism doesn't.  The best way to prevent corruption is to make it harder to partake in the corruption.

True, but just about everyone will call corruption on any form of government.

Yeah, I saw a video for it today, but I can just see people ordering some cheap item, then trying to throw rocks at/steal the drone for fun.

It's a cool idea, and I want it to work, but I honestly think there are too many inhibitors for it to have a chance.

Communism can be just as effective or better than capitalism in theory, but it seems to always breed corruption, so I guess capitalism wins it for me.
