Like in the Superbowl. Where it will be snowing. And Tom Brady will get that fourth ring. And be the GOAT. Fuck Joe Montana.
Do you have any evidence that it will snow?  Also, Joe is 4-0 in Superbowls.  Something Tom will never, ever be able to claim.  He also won't win a 4th so it doesn't matter.

So you don't offer fair bets? Got it.
That is fairly accurate.  It isn't fair that I always win.

You guys are like a bunch of gossipy girls talking about people behind their backs.

If you ever showed up, you'd do the same.
I don't show up cause it's boring.
You're boring  >:(

Go Seahawks.  We better win it this season while all of our beasts are still on rookie contracts.
Hopefully they keep home field, otherwise, they'll choke on the road.

MBA?

like a macbook air...

Googling dell now ...
They have good support and I'd recommend them, at least the Latitude and XPS lines.  Highly configurable.

I think this is a good idea, maybe deserving of a separate thread.

I am thinking a charter member signup where the regs can get an e-mail.  Then, on a go-forward basis, noobs can earn theirs.

I'd suggest a Dell Latitude 3000 series, customize it yourself.

He'd be better off with a MBA and external drive depending on his gaming needs.

Still a little over two weeks out, but I have the only bid.  I'd be happy to host e-mail unless Parsifal would rather.

I will be setting up e-mail for tfes.org this weekend, and it'll be easier if I do the same for any other domains down the line. The reason I want to do it is that I want to change the e-mail address this forum sends from to something at tfes.org rather than my personal e-mail address, and thus want to manage the path of any return mail.
I am good with that.

I placed an initial bid of $60 for flatearthsociety.org.  I will keep an eye on it.
how is it going?

Also, just an aside ... if we get flatearthsociety.org that would make for some pretty good e-mail addresses.

Would the administration consider say a david.thork@flatearthsociety.org?

A really nice thing to be able to give regulars but also

press.officer@flatearthsociety.org is someone that syndicated news outlets would take interest in.

thinking ahead, but a good domain would be a real boon for the society.

Out of curiosity, his bet seemed to be based off exactly what you said, what is unfair about it?
The expected value of the gamble was below 0. EV(g)<0

Betting against me always has that value.  Ask Sean.

How can you say that VG is "stealing money" when the deposits are 100% refundable?

Because they can pile money into an interest-bearing account and profit off of something that won't ever see the light of day.  Even if they give the original deposit back.

Yes, because you didn't offer a fair bet.
Then admit you are wrong  >o<

I'm not a moron.
Debatable  :P

So Franklin claims the Patriots will win the Superbowl, however he isn't confident enough that they will even make it to bet $25.

Junker I'll take that, but since you said not to pay you and save my money last time, if you win I'll pay 100. Serious bets serious this time

Sounds good.  If Franklin wants in on the action, I am cutting it to $25 per bet.  Franklin is a pussy, though, so he won't.

Sorry brah. The only team that can beat Brady this year is the Lions(dat interior pass rush), but they're going to lose at the Clink because the Seahawks home field advantage is cheating.

I will wager you $50USD that the Patriots don't make the Superbowl.

The Patriots will beat the Seahawks in a snowy Superbowl, for those curious. Tom Brady will finally get his fourth ring and be the undisputed GOAT.

Is it funny?

Andy Samberg is in it. I'll let you be the judge.

That's not enough information to make such a determination.  Samberg is a talented comedian, but if the material is bad, it's bad.

It can be cheesy, but there are laughs to be had.

It works as long as I start typing the name in the proper case.  It may have worked that way all along as I hadn't tried.
