Technology & Information / Re: e-readers
« on: March 02, 2016, 05:36:36 PM »
So I ordered up a Kobo Glo HD last week and it arrived today. I had previously bought, and have just transferred to it, the entire Harry Potter series in Dutch. Now I get to read some serious Dutch for the first time.

This is my first e-reader, and so far I love the E-Ink screen, though of course I'll have a better idea of how good it is once I've read some stuff. Anyone else have some fascinating tales to tell?

You think reading Harry Potter is "serious" reading?

Hi all!

This is my first post and it's a little bitter/sweet for me.  A year ago I developed a passion for astronomy.  I spend a grand on a very good amateur scope and spent night after night marvelling at how clearly I could see Jupiter even tho it was 'so far away'.  I would lose myself in gazing into an infinite sea of stars and planets.  Then I discovered FET.  I have always dismissed the idea of man on the moon and would spend hours watching videos disproving it.  But then I came across FET and thought it must be crazy.  But within days I was hooked.  I found the evidence so over whelming that I couldn't and still can't stop researching the subject.  I am completely 100% sure the earth is flat and I find myself spending my time telling everyone I know the same thing.  Most of them think I'm crazy of course!  I spent a month trying to convince my wife to let me buy the telescope and now I can't bear to look into it.  Because I don't believe what I'm supposedly looking at.  I'm gutted about that because I really went into the infinite universe stuff and now I feel like I'm looking at dots on a glass ceiling.  But do you know what really swung it for me?  The final nail in the coffin for the globe earth?  The fact that when I signed up for this site a couple of days ago, my confirmation email link was dumped in my spam folder!!  I've signed up to many sites over the years, sites of all different subjects and never ever have I had a confirmation link sent to my spam folder!  It seems like one last ditch effort to keep me away from the truth!

Glad to be here people, I hope I can contribute to your brilliant site!

Regards

Welcome brother.  You have taken a bold step in furthering your knowledge with regards to the true shape of the earth.  I would like to personally say you are in good company.  There is no doubt that your research may become exhausting.  When this inevitability does indeed occur, I would encourage to relax in the lower fora.  Namely 'Complete Nonsense' may provide you with some comic relief that is so desperately needed by the commanders and freethinkers of our movement.

Again, welcome, and don't hesitate to reach out if you have further questions.

Same with me.  Seems that web chat has been disabled somehow?  Will try an IRC client to make sure it's not an IP issue...

PARDISFLA is literally never there. It's JKUNKER who keeps banning. I changed my nick to motherfucker and he kicked me.

passed away today.  One of the best vocalists/bassists around.  Blast some Motörhead and have a drink(s) in his honor tonight.

Suggestions & Concerns / Re: Moving Threads
« on: December 26, 2015, 03:25:29 PM »
I'd like to reopen this thread.

First of all, we've never had a policy against alts as long as they aren't disruptive, which that introduction thread isn't.

Second of all, we don't move non-disruptive posts made by lolwut in the upper fora to CN. Why should he be able to post outside of CN using his main, but not his alt?

Third of all, if we assume Decimus is indeed lolwut's alt, what would we gain from penalising him for trying to start afresh with an account that isn't extremely annoying? All we'd be doing is encouraging him to keep spamming CN as lolwut.

Finally, as I understand it, the only evidence we have of Decimus being lolwut's alt is a matching IP address. lolwut could just as easily have linked a family member, friend or roommate using the same Internet connection to FES. He might even be unaware they had made an account in that case. This is further supported by the fact that only three of lolwut's posts have been from Decimus's IP address; perhaps Decimus is a friend that lolwut has visited on occasion. We have no way of knowing.

I don't want to go down the rabbit hole that used to be commonplace on the old site of treating matching IP addresses as grounds for moderator intervention. I also don't think we should be penalising suspected alts before they even show signs of wanting to cause trouble.

I want to say that for the record, I have no affiliation with that person. I don't know who it is nor why our ip addresses match on occasion. As most of you know, I'm a shit poster. But even I have limits when it comes to racist shit like that person is posting. I understand that racial words are allowed here, but this guy is making my shit posts look like flat earth debate material... Even if he/she does stick to CN. I personally would like to see him/her banned, though again, I know that so-called racist words are allowed down there.

Flat Earth Community / Re: Do any flat earthers take me seriously?
« on: December 22, 2015, 05:00:54 PM »
I have proposed some ideas that may seem insane to people who are indictorinated with Intel propaganda, and many people think I am insane.  Indictorinated round earthers think that we are crazy too and I'm sure that you all thought flat Earth was insane before you looked up YouTube videos to convince you of Earth's flatness.  The probelem is that the computer conspiracy is so secret that YouTube has no videos on the topic.

Flat Earth may be true but they are letting the cat out of the bag on purpose to distract us from the bigger picture.  Why do you think Google makes this site so easy to find and why do you think YouTube is doing nothing about all the flat Earth videos out there?  There are secret plans being executed that require free thinkers like us to be distracted because we are a threat to them.

So are there any flat earthers out there that are open minded enough to accept the truth about computers?
I'm willing to entertain these ideas.

I don't think you understand how this works. You don't need my permission, PizzaPlanet's permission or anyone else's permission to start promoting FES. See those social media links on the homepage? They got there because people started doing things, so we linked to them.

Instead of lecturing other people about what they should be doing, just do something yourself. Nobody is going to listen to you otherwise.

Hey Pardisfla!!  If I do this shit myself, how the hell are you going to vet the information I put out there.  I'm no dumbass, but I don't know everything about flat earth theory.  I fear that I may spread misinformation and that would not be desirable.  That is why I should be in charge of public relations and marketing and have folks who are much more knowledgeable on the actual subject matter (like you, Jkunker, Blakno, etc...) to put the materials together.  Does that make sense?  If I'm not being clear, let me reiterate:  I don't want to paint the society with a brush that it shouldn't be painted with.  I don't really know how else to put it  :(

Awesome awesome ideas. I can't wait to get started on this right away.
I'll assume this is not sarcasm because if it was I would report you for low content. Thanks Hollocron for the support!

[] off.

Careful, you are not in CN or AR. You are on perpetually thin ice, next one is a significant amount of time off.

How can I get myself on thicker ice?  Also, how long will the ban be?

I think that these are great ideas and I look forward to seeing how it all plays out.

Thanks dude.  I'm just waiting to hear back from Pardisfla and/or Particel Preson and/or Pizza Planet.  :)

We need more public outreach.  How can we educate the world about it's flatness if we are not actively evangelizing.  We need a team of media experts to spread our gospel.  Pardisfla:  I know you know nothing about public relations, so why don't we hold elections to see who would be the most appropriate?  PizzaPlanet would you be able to set this up for us please?  Then we can create a subforum for the media team.  Perhaps as well we should create a ustream channel to broadcast video of our endeavors?  This would put us in the spotlight as we climb the ustream charts and begin to educate the world.  YouTube would be needed as well.  ParticelPreson, could you set this up?  We will need to post at least one video per week to drive traffic to our channel and get people to subscribe.  Oh.... podcasting!  The podcast on the other site was absolute shit so we need to get going on that front.  Perhaps also we could create something like a "Flat Earth University" for folks who want formal education on these topics.  We could offer a degree and classes could be held online.  Pardisfla might be able to teach them I think.
What do you think?

Some say (David Brownstein for example), taking extra iodine is good for you.
Alex Jones would agree with this as well.  I for one take iodine as a supplement and am quite pleased with it.

How much (mg) do you take every day?
I can't give you an exact mg amount, but practically, it's 3-4 drops from an eyedropper.

I also eat colloidal silver to help with disease prevention.

Some say it's good to drink warm salt water before the meal and the iodine after.

Colloidal silver I'm not sure about.

Fuck salt water.  And the iodine tastes really nasty... it lingers for hours after you take it, so best advice is to take it as close to the back of your throat as possible followed by a strong tasting liquid such as orange juice.
