I hadn't considered that Markjo couldn't access the Lounge. It's a social forum and nothing more.

He obviously has an interest in some of those things. He has expressed an interest in Wordle and it'd be nigh on impossible to shit up that thread. He'd probably enjoy hearing about how stiff I am as well.

I motion that on compassionate grounds, he gets Lounge access that can be removed at any time if he keeps talking about my mother's breasts. 

I see this as a small compassionate concession to prove that the problem is him, not us and that he does deserve his eternal punishment. Its not everyone else who is just cruel to him.

The reason the Purgatory group doesn't include Lounge access is because it was originally created for EJ (if memory serves), who posted total garbage in every forum. Given that EJ is now long gone, and that markjo is at least capable of forming coherent English sentences, I see no reason not to add The Lounge. Objections?

It wasn't really a "rally". Markjo tried to gaslight the mods, and, annoyingly, almost succeeded. In doing so, he crossed a line that's usually not even approached. As he was already on thin ice, the "obvious" solution was to permaban him right there and then. 9 pages over 3 weeks and I didn't express an opinion. I feel like I must have had an opinion. I'm guessing I must have been fed up with Markjo and thought 'let him rot'. I can be quite petty, you know.
