Antarctic Treaty
« on: September 16, 2018, 10:32:57 PM »
Hey my fellow Flat-Earthers! I have a question. So, I first learned about this theory through a Shane Dawson Conspiracy Theory Video. In that video, Shane Dawson's brother talked about an Antarctic Treaty signed in the 50's that stated, among other things, that no one can freely explore Antarctica. I am putting together a presentation for my school, but when I went digging for evidence about this claim, I came up empty. Can anybody direct me to proof that the Antarctic Treaty states that you can't explore Antarctica without heavy supervision? Thanks, y'all for helping me out!

Here is some info:

Thanks, but I'm really looking for an answer in english, not legal terms. It's just the way that it's worded confuses me as to whether or not you can freely explore.

Yes, legally everyone can explore Antarctica freely, no laws that prohibit anyone to set foot on and walk around Antarctica.
But the main problem is to survive the harsh environment. To survive on Antarctica you need help and support from people who live and work there, but they won't help and support you unless you are an experienced explorer, know what you are doing and have prepared your trip very well. That's because no one on Antarctica wants to be held accountable in case you disappear forever or found dead and frozen. And without their help you better plan another vacation.

Via Quantas, one can fly over Antarctica as well. Best part, full bar service during the 12 hour journey.

Hey,

Nothing is stopping you from visiting Antarctica as a tourist, except your empty wallet. Tourism is supported during the summer months, so you can witness a southern hemisphere 24hour day which... shouldn't be possible...? So make sure to take pictures. Winter travel is very dangerous, so only trained scientists and explorers can get funding.

Surely anyone's first port of call after Google when they don't know about a topic is wikipedia? Don't they teach you anything in school these days?

Google ... Wikipedia ... Youtube ... none of those? ok then the thing you are looking for doesn't exist.

But in your case ...

Not over the poles. Supposedly due to Elecromagnetic interference.

I will say governments like having secret facilities in very difficult to reach areas.

Such as Pine Gap in the middle of Australia.

Antarctica would make a perfect black budget military base.

I agree, although maybe cost prohibitive and not necessarily ultra strategic, location wise. And it's no secret that gov'ts have 'secret' bases. You and I can't fly over Groom Lake in Nevada, for example. But no so secret of a notion.

Why make such a patently false statement?

What's patently false about it? Seemingly, Quantas provides a flight of Antarctica. Are you disputing the full bar service provided?

Just in case full bar service is still disputed as being patently false, I give you this evidence (right side, 'spirits'):

You are not flying over antartica. You are flight across a large landmass they want you to believe to be antarctica. Kinda like Greenland, but in the south.
They fool you. Easy as that. Because no one is able to reach the real antarctica, which is the large icewall around the globe.

However, its not true that the government doesnt want anyone to know. How else would they allow the truth to be seeping into TV shows over and over again.
Living under a large dome rather tham on a round earth? You find this truth in a movie called "The Hunger Games" and "The Truman Show". A large ICe wall? Well, "Game of Thrones" told you this.
It's like they want us to be slowly introduced to the truth, seeing familiar images again and again, until one day we don't care anymore when they reveal the truth.

They will keep the dome secret and you away from Antarctica for a while yet.  When all the corporate fat cats and multi-millionaires have constructed their mansions overlooking the edge of the earth, then they will turn loose and allow tours to the Antarctic.  Just think of the view they will have.  It will be the best on the flat earth.
You can lead flat earthers to the curve but you can't make them think!

You can't just go there when you like and roam how you like. It's pretty obvious why. No, not because "they" have something to hide, but it's obviously a very harsh environment. I'm pretty sure you can't just jog up Everest either, there are certain places where you have to know what you're doing if you want to go there.

You can, however, travel to the South Pole:

https://www.discover-the-world.com/holidays/south-pole-adventure/

It'll cost you, but it is pretty niche. There's nothing stopping anyone going if they have the money.
