No, it would have made you sound like you had half a clue what you were talking about

Who here has seen the sun set?
Along with every other object in the sky, it moves across the sky at a constant angular velocity and then clearly crosses the horizon, weather you are on the sea, atop a skyscraper, or in a valley. (or on the iss)

How can this be? It clearly does not spin around above us or else we could almost always see it!

The attempts to explain this seem to often talk about "perspective" or "refraction" as if the word itself completely explains the unusual nature of light that would be necessary for the bottom half of an object to be blocked by something that isn't in between the object and observer. Any artist or projective geometry will be able to show you exactly what it would look like for a sun to move in circles above us, and any experiment you can do about refraction will show that it is negligible, and only a black hole or giant planet sized lens could make the sun appear such an odd way.

Also, I'm aware that this doesn't say much about the shape of the earth, because a sun could still orbit a disk earth.

If you think the sun is fake/digital, then think about this:

All the sun does for us besides gravity is give light. Any image/hologram that can be created is done so by a light that you have to be looking at. So in order to create a fake sun you have to actually build a giant fake light in the sky that moves around. You can't just project it up there, so the above argument still sort of applies to a fake sun, although I don't know if anyone who believes in the circling sun theory also thinks the sun is fake.

I guess the heat is irrelevant then? Or the radiation? Good luck arguing with people when your opening post is so arrogant and ridiculously lacking

Hi DS,

There was quite a debate at the time about his recanting but it was decided that he had been forced to do so, by lizards or his mum or shadowy forces, you know the ones that fake history and move us around like puppets. He has now been brain wiped and replaced by an android.

This makes sense

If you are looking up at the night sky and you see flashes of light then it is advised you see an optometrist. Your retinas could be detaching. If you get an all clear then maybe you should lay off the drugs

People make up all sorts of stories. Iridium flares?? Never heard of anything more preposterous in my life.

There are plenty of atheist countries in the world you can look upon to see if the absence of religion has had any impact on their prosperity

Mao Zedong of China..... How did that work out for the Chinese? The great famine in the 60's, or the 'cultural revolution?'

How about the Kim Dynasty of North Korea?

Or Joseph Stalin. How did the people go when he was in charge?

These are just some examples, I could go on and go further back in history

I'm not saying it was the absence of religion that caused the atrocities, but it shows that religion is not the reason for war and hatred. It is merely an excuse

One thing that atheist states seem to have in common is that the leader of the nation is to be somewhat worshipped. You replace 'God' with an 'ordinary man'. Who is that man 'accountable' to. At least with a God, even a King is to answer for his misdeeds in the end. Perhaps thousands of years ago this is what was needed to keep them in line and humble.

How many wars were fought because of a woman? Helen of Troy ring a bell? You don't remove all women because women are fought over. You conversely don't remove all the men because they cant keep it in their pants.

You are always going to have conflict. Others are things like money, land, power, envy etc.

Religion is a scapegoat. It is a tool used to drive the masses. If you remove it, then something just replaces it. Like money. But in most cases I imagine what replaces religion would be un unswerving loyalty to your state (like North Korea). For all the shit we see today, I believe that some people having faith in something is better than nobody having faith beyond our very limited understanding and intellectual capacity.

Not tricky at all. In video editing software I can just 'flip horizontal' and voila!!!

If something has a non zero probability of occurring then yes. Every person could have faked them

But I also said that both sides of the argument could be technically correct (only as far as the term flat or globe goes) if we do exist primarily in a 2D universe

I'm just not arrogant enough to pretend I have the answer

Some look dirty, some look like they could be sun spots and others look like there is data in the image totally missing or photoshopped. What's your point?

So every person that took the photos faked them?

Then describe your reasoning why gravity is a load of bullshit. What university did you graduate from?

Gravity is bullshit because it doesn't fit my pre conceived narrative for a flat earth. The alleged university I supposedly graduated from is none of your business  8)

I hold a bachelors degree in Physics and did a thesis on the relationship between gravity and light. My thesis was accepted despite my conclusion that gravity was a load of bullshit

What do you want to know?

Now this goes into a little bit more logic, and can be backed up by past numbers. The Flat Earth Society has had little to no mathematical proof whatsoever which can show any scientist, when reproducing the experiment, that the Earth is round! For example, an equilateral triangle with 90 degree angles simply cannot be reproduced on a flat earth. However, using lasers, this is possible to conduct. When physics is brought up, FE's just say oh boohoo your taking that stance on the assumption that the Earth is round. Then if this logic is right, then that can be said of the other way around - the only problem is, the FE theory has NO PHYSICS PROOF WHATSOEVER!!! Gravity can be seen in outer space due to light warping around black holes. Seeing that the same materials that are being affected by this force, then we can also logically assume that Earth's materials, (basalt, limestone, etc.), are subjugated to the same forces which govern the bodies of the universe. If anybody has anything to support this thought, please voice it out.

Have you personally witnessed light bending around a black hole?

And even if you have or take the word of people paid handsomely to come up with this  you are just 'assuming' the same must be true to some extent on Earth.

Nice try. I give you a 3/10 for effort

Maybe if roundies didn't present clearly staged or doctored 'evidence' to try and make a point your lot would have more credibility too

You do not know my beliefs - I'm neither FE or RE. I do not believe humanity has evolved to a point where we understand the true nature of the universe

Case in point

Can you provide evidence that we are not living in a flat 2D universe and what we see and experience is a 3D 'holographic' representation? I bet you can not. Therefore if this turns out it the nature of our existence and universe - both sides of the debate (as far as the term 'flat' or 'globe' would be correct but ultimately the earth (and everything else) would be flat.

There simply is not enough evidence out there to prove or disprove this theory which plenty of actual scientists are devoting time and research into.

When people argue for a globe earth they are arrogant in the thinking that they understand the true nature of the universe. You could be wrong.

If you don't except your camera lens was dirty then did you consider it was a 'sun spot'? Or maybe the photo didn't take correctly and there is data missing? Your asking this on a flat earth forum? What exactly do you expect??

I think you need to clean your camera lens. Their appears to be some dirt on it.
