Flat Earth Community / A quick poll
« on: December 24, 2019, 01:12:52 AM »
Saw this in a post, and decided to make it into an actual poll, please tell me if this was already posted and I'll take the post down.

Flat Earth Community / Creating a Flat Earth Map.
« on: July 18, 2019, 10:51:51 PM »
So, first things first, this is different than my previous posts. What I am here for is something well against my views. I'm asking for help, on making a true Flat Earth Map. I'm not part of tfes however, I've always been curious if a map works. Anyone want to help? I guess if nobody else wants to make on that actually works, we gotta do it ourselves. I've reached the point, where I'm holding strong to my RE beliefs, but I'll work on a map. Gotta do the work to prove your point. Anyone wanna help?

https://www.cnbc.com/2017/09/29/elon-musks-plan-for-cheap-rapid-passenger-transport.html

Im not sure if you're aware of this article, but it's something Musk still plans to do. These rockets will leave the atmosphere and enter orbit. This will be available to the public, meaning that you no longer have to be an astronaut to go into space. Once this is released...this entire theory of this and that will be solved. Once this is released, we can all put this forum to rest...

No it won't. They either won't have windows or they will have windows but our technology is advanced to the point where it would be difficult for us to tell the difference between a window and a HD flat screen encased in a widow pane an glass. If you don't believe me just take a trip to universal studios. Any visual observation made out of said "window" could easily be claimed to be fake.

In addition you still have to deal with things like refraction, chaotic optical conditions, and the limited perceptive ability of the human eye and brain.

As said before, it's REALLY hard to fake the acceleration, the lack of gravity and such not...but why does it matter? The science DOESNT work unless the rocket LEAVES the atmosphere...which means unless is "leaves the dome" then there's no way it would work on a Flat Earth. Also, now you're just sounding ignorant...you literally will not believe anything unless you build your own rocket.

Actually going to the ISS: OBVIOUSLY FAKE

Actually going outside the atmosphere: WINDOWS AND SCREENS A SHIT

Literally the entire schooling system and the proof that we can go into space: LIARS

I have one question for people believing the Earth is indeed flat. This is not made to start any sort of debate.

Why would the government hide the fact that the Earth is round from us?
What benefit is there for having the Earth being flat?
How might the Earth have formed if it is flat?
How thick is the Earth?

Not a Flat Earther, but read the wiki first.

Even if it doesn't come out, if it does, that means finally, once and for all we can put this argument to rest, right? Or are they gonna black our the windows or play fake videos  ::) to keep the illusion and use real earth science to fly around the globe in under an hour?
Yes well if they make you put 3d glasses on before looking out the windows then maybe it's a possibility  ::). tv screens can't fake the look of realism, even VR is a long way off being photo realistic.

Although that does raise the question, has any flat earther ever been tricked by a tv? did you think the characters from Friends were actually there with you? If so... Do you only have one eye? :P

Exactly...Elon Musk almost always follows through with his plans...the man's a genius (Gigafactories anyone?). If he says its possible, I'm almost certain it is.

Science & Alternative Science / Re: Anti-Vaxxers
« on: April 04, 2019, 12:47:10 PM »
Vaccines aren't actually that profitable...because the fact they are required to be at a cost that nearly everyone can get them, pediatricians and doctors often loose money on vaccination administration.
You're assuming that doctors charge insurance companies the same price as they would charge someone uninsured.  That is not a valid assumption.

Vaccines are nearly free for people with insurance...so no, they don't make a lot of money. You can look it up, they're really not that profitable, please read my post before you respond.
Doctors often charge significantly more to insurance companies than to uninsured patients for the same service.

And? That's only because BEFORE there wasn't enough money to support them...You really are just contradicting yourself. The prices aren't that high for uninsured, and they're basically free for the insured. Just because the insurance company is paying more isn't the argument...I said "because the fact they are required to be at a cost nearly everyone can get them" if the insurance company pays more, it doesn't matter, the cost is still low enough that nearly anyone can get them. Check the argument before you post your reply.

The price I listed later in my post was the price of uninsured vaccines...

Vaccines aren't actually that profitable...because the fact they are required to be at a cost that nearly everyone can get them, pediatricians and doctors often loose money on vaccination administration. And it wasn't too long ago the vaccine industry was just barely scarping by with little to no profits. There also was a point in time, where a lot of drug companies stopped making the drug. You usually (unlike the Flu vaccine) only pay for it once in your life...and honestly, I'd pay over a thousand dollars per vaccine (way more than they cost, they cost about $136) just to keep my child from dying of polio or tetanus, or something worse. The Flu vaccine while it doesn't always work, still has a chance of saving someones life. Even if it's only 40% that 40% can save peoples lives. Im sorry if you can't get over the fact that they work, and they save lives.

Flat Earth Theory / Re: North star (well not really on a flat earth)

It doesn't "suddenly vanish" it appears to, because the Earth would be blocking it from sight...

You're telling me that is slowly fades away as you go from the northern parts of the world to the southern? Where is your evidence it does this?

Flat Earth Theory / Re: North star (well not really on a flat earth)
« on: March 22, 2019, 03:09:58 PM »
What exactly makes it too far away? It doesn't change in shape or size no matter where you stand in the Northern Hemisphere, but it's too far away in the bottom most parts of the southern hemisphere? Also, it's not like it gets too small to see...or anything like that, it just suddenly vanishes, almost as if blocked by something...

Flat Earth Theory / North star (well not really on a flat earth)
« on: March 22, 2019, 02:51:36 PM »
Polaris, the North Star, something that travelers have used for hundreds, if not thousands of years to navigate. And because it is the North Star, on a RE it's not visible from very southern parts of our world, like Australia and some places in Brazil. On a RE this is explained, obviously you can't see through the ear at something that's hidden behind it. But what about on a FE? Why can't you see it, if it's clearly in the same range of view. It's fairly obvious that it SHOULD be seen on a FE, but isn't. Why?

Flat Earth Community / Why just Rowbotham?
« on: March 14, 2019, 06:18:20 PM »
There's always been a question bugging my mind. Why just Rowbotham? What I mean by this is;

When quoting or citing a test done, you mainly (60-70%) of the time, get one about or from Rowbotham. Why is he the one that stands out? He went against the entire scientific community, but failed, unlike so many who have been proven true. Its however many years later, and his experiments and observations still haven't been globally agreed upon. Why is he of such importance? Why is there nearly nobody else in the scientific community quoted as much as him?

Flat Earth Theory / Paper. Simply irrefutable.
« on: January 28, 2019, 04:35:40 PM »
How does paper fall the way it does? On a Flat Earth there is no gravity, and objects don't fall, the Earth accelerates upwards to it. So have a friend hold a piece of paper and a rock. Now put your hands under them, and simulate what would happen, by bringing your hands up to meet those objects. That's strange...there's no air resistance from the paper... How does this work? Unless objects do fall by some magic of Flat Earth science. Anybody care to explain this?

Does anybody here actually believe that vaccines don't work, and that you shouldn't vaccinate your child, or anybody? I've always been curious about why you would think that...
