Just to prove a point this guy bought a shovel (and with some spare parts lying around) manufactured an AK-ish rifle, that looks like complete garbage but it, per his pictures, bullseye accurate with normal ammunition.

Well, this is an interesting question, and many things need to be considered carefully. True Communism would be best in my mind, but I don't think that it can ever be achieved in reality, because people, any people, tend to be greedy. Take a man who has millions, he will want more. Take a man who has nothing, and give him something, and he will want more. This is obvious by the number of people who are on welfare and yet pump out more and more kids every year in order to the increase in that check.

EJ, I know that you are a troll, but just because a person doesn't like Obama's political views, doesn't mean he is racist. I voted for the man twice, and I have VERY mixed views of how he's done so far. And no, I don't consider myself racist in any sense, although my lack of political correctness may sometimes make me very blunt. I have given you several web sites and a seminal book on the subject to review regarding Jews being an ethnic group,  most of whom have some connection (however tenuous) to the religion of Judaism. So with recent events I was thinking about the flat earth society and what it really is. No I don't really read much more than the forum so this might be simple to answer for those in the know.
I'm wondering what the flat earth president is actually president of? Is the whole society web based? And with that is it just a forum and podcasts (btw I have never listened to those either, sorry but I spend my time online doing other things I deem more important).
Is there a physical society? And that's the point in my post, is the president loosing I retest in us, or are other parts of the society more important? You can imagine a group of secret handshakes and secret meetings on a Thursday just after dinner time but before Eastenders starts.

FES tis an actuel society but yes it tis mostley web based but has some other aspects. I am aware if you give a donation and join its physicel membership they give you an FE disc type thing and some monthley letters or something like that. And Daneil tis President of the Flat Earth Society and heads the organzation and hath done interviews in the past

I am a Jew. I think that atheism is not a religion. The atheists here are right about that. It does entail a lack of beliefs, which is a bit different than a set of beliefs. There is no official doctrine that an atheist must accept to be one. For example, being a Christian requires that you accept the Deity of Jesus. However much one respects Jesus, if one does not call him God then one is not a Christian, at least in the traditional sense (granted, I know some non-Trinitarian groups that would disagree, but they are few).

My sister-in-law is an ethnic Jew, but an atheist in her religious belief (or rather, the lack thereof). So does that make her more or less Jewish than me? No. It simply means that she has rejected the belief structure that most Jews are a part of, whether enthusiastically, like me, or nominally, like some others. The only way one loses the right to call oneself a Jew is by converting to another religion. Converting to no religion (atheism or agnosticism) doesn't do that. Go figure. No one, least of all me, ever claimed that it made sense.

Athiesm is a religion because they worship science. They are all heretics

And im sorey but how the heck can a Jewish be "ethnic"? Jewish is a religion not a race so is she an athiest or Jewish?

I've been reading the articles about the fight of for-profit businesses, specifically Hobby Lobby, against the healthcare mandate to provide both control.  In most cases they are only fighting over the morning after pill and other such after thought type contraceptives, but I did read about one company trying to fight against it all because the owners are Catholic.

I don't want to get into the debate that there shouldn't be such a mandate in the first place, I'm more curious what everyone's take is on the religious freedom of for-profit business.  Should the owners of a for profit business be able to declare that business as a specific religion?  Should this declaration be sufficient to exempt the business from mandates which go against the religion?  Do you think it is right to subject employees of a for-profit business to the religious beliefs of the owners, specifically when the product being sold is not religious in nature?

First of all the mandate has alredey been pased so TO FLIPPIN BAD FOR THEM! How can you say your a Christian when you dont even beleive in natural rights! They refuse to acept the basic abortion and contraceptive rights and are blinded by there ignorence and sexism. These poor people need these rights!!!!!!! Look people want to live there lives so lets get real: NOBODYS GOING TO WANT TO WAIT FOR MARRIAGE!!! Today more and more young people are playing hanky panky so do you reley want there whole lives to be ruined all because they couldnt get protection? Safe sex is vital to societey and all churches should promote it they need to end there ignorence. Wake up and smell the coffee! And because they cant get protection they can get pregnent and theyl need an abortion but crazey fundamentalist conservastupit radicals are trying to prevent this and call these women terible names. And as we known to well some women cant aford abortions and need taxpayer money in order to get it. So whats the solution? TAX IT!!!!!!!!!!! Why cant we just help our felow citizen out and let her pay for her abortion. No where in the bible does it say a women cant get an abortion let alone contraceptives. Idiots are what they are and sexists and rascists to. The "baby" isnt even a living thing its a COLLECTION OF TISUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And they say that women are "killing" the "baby"? There the ones who are killing the woman by ruining her life all because she made a mistake!!!!!!!!!! The republistupit party is full of hate. Some say capitalism that encourages competition and motivation to improve product quality and prices. Others say socialism that gives a fair share to all who contribute to society.  Some might say the answer lies in a mix of two or more systems.

Socialism because its fair. Capitalism is all about money money money. Only the greedey fat cats benifit of capitalism while the poor is starving and dying and the goverment is doing nothing to help it. Obama himself is trying to help out the poor being the good caring man he is while evil rascist greedey rich republistupit basterds keep on giving more and more to the rich. I beleive gravitey exists. I beleive in two thoerys concerning why this: 1) The earth is infinite/expanding with the universe 2) The earth is finite but is the still the vary base of the universe and ultimate gravitationel dent and is being pulled by the expanding universe keeping it flat

Ether way in my gravitationel hipothesis gravitey causes the sun and moon to revolve (or circle) above the sun. The planets revolve around the sun (and the planets moons revolve around the planets. I also think the Earth causes some gravitationel distortion causing elipticel orbits). I beleive the Solar System to be the Milkey Ways center and the other galxaxys revolve the Milkey Way. Tracing it back to the begining this efectivley makes Earth the center of the universe

As earth is the base of the universe i beleive it to be the ultimate gravitationel dent of the universe as told by generel relativitey causing the sun to circle above it

How can you believe Earth is both finite and infinite?  They're literally the opposite of each other.

I wasnt saying I beleive that. I was saying that I am open to both thoerys and I beleive ether one could be corect. However if the earth was infinite/expanding I would beleive that only the known earth is habitable and the rest of the infinite/expanding earth is ocean as the earth is the only above water land on the earthley plane

You say that gravity exists, but the earth is flat and is being kept flat by an expanding universe. What about the expansion of the universe is pulling the earth? In RE, the continuous expansion of the universe doesn't make planets and such flat.

I cant exacley explain why the universe does this but i beleive some earley cosmic universe event caused this as matter got cooler after the Big Bang and that the earth was at the center from which the Bang ocured. Think about how the galaxys get farther away from each other as the universe expands: Earth was formed at the center of all of this and is the literel vary base of the universe. The universe continues expanding and the earth is being pulled and stays flat

Also dont forget i look at the infinite/expanding earth as a fesible hipothesis as well

Well i myself do not beleive in the Conspiracey and beleive that NASA has simpeley been mistaken and fooled because they expect it to be round. However if the Conspiracey were real id think it would mainley have to do with the whole Space Race. JFK the Great promised that men would be put on the moon by the end of the sixtys (which they did but not the point) and so the US Goverment wouldve been all frantic to get them up there but couldnt so they faked it. And if the world discovered this the US would be left in complete shame and embaresment so they continue to send "bilion dolar" equipment to put away suspicions

But then again i dont actuley beleive in the Conspiracey but this would be my thoery

I agree with irushwithscvs. This has as well been my own thoery and the photos are vary much real. People expect the Earth to be round so they see the photos as round but myself and many other Flat Earthers know the truth
