Flat Earth Theory / Gravity Question

So if the Earth was flat it would collapse due to gravity. I remember seeing someone say that gravity as we know it doesn't exist and that the flat earth is just moving forwards which basically simulates gravity. Does this mean that all the planets and stuff we observe (mars, sun, moon, etc.) are also moving to keep up with us?

And what force is causing this motion?

So on the flat earth model, the sun acts kind of like a spotlight. But wouldn't people in the areas not covered by sunlight be able to see the sun as well?

So after Elon Musk tweeted that thing about like "why is there no flat mars society" I remember seeing someone saying it's because Mars has been proven to be round. Why is it okay for mars to be round and not earth?

So what is the motive for the government or whoever to lie about the shape of the Earth?
Like what benefits does it give them?
I can't see any. It makes no sense to me.

Why not just say it was flat?

Also, whoever is lying to us would have had to have started hundreds of years ago because even around the time Christopher Columbus was alive, it was commonly accepted that the Earth was round. (It's a false myth that he proved the Earth was round, everyone knew already)
