Apple's big event
« on: September 09, 2015, 09:44:12 AM »
Are you guys ready for Apple's keynote in a few hours? What do you think they'll reveal? Being the Apple fanboy that I am, I'm pretty stoked for the new Apple TV. Apparently it will have Siri built in and double as a mobile-game player. With Apple's Metal API and talks of a dedicated controller, this one is sure to hit a home run. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw developers create some pretty sweet console style games for the newly upgraded streaming box.

An iPad mini refresh would be pretty bomb-diggity also, since it hasn't seen a substantial upgrade since the iPad Mini 2.

So edgy.

Looking forward to the new phone and the Apple TV hotness.

What do you think they'll reveal?

A bunch of stuff that has been available to PC and Android users for at least five years.
I have visited from prestigious research institutions of the highest caliber, to which only our administrator holds with confidence.

they desperately need to sort out the mac mini. It is very long in the tooth now.

I recon they'll use Intel's micro-ATX and make a mac micro about the size of the Intel NUC. That's my wild guess of what I think they should do.

I doubt they'll bring anything new though, that people want. Since Jobs died, they only have stupid ideas.

The iPad Table Edition looks a little unwieldy.

Nah, Last updated October 2014 ... the only change being they finally moved to Haswell chips. Being as we went through Broadwell and you can actually get SKylake chips right now, it is way behind the curve as usual.

The actual body of the mac mini hasn't changed since 2010! I mean 5 years ago and it still looks the same? Surely it is time to update it's looks. Apple is meant to be fashionable and innovative in design. It is design that they use to justify higher prices than everyone else.

I really think they should bite the bullet and go micro ATX. Intel now have an i7 board variant in this form factor, there is no reason not to.

I think they'll be fine with Jony Ive. Apple's stylus is one of those things that looks pretty unremarkable at first, but it probably is going flip the industry on its head, like the iPod. You aren't going to find any top artists who don't have one.

Yeah, they're going to get an iPad Pro just to use their fancy stylus on a mobile OS with zero support for enterprise software.

I'm pretty sure artists are going to stick to Wacoms.

I doubt they'd replace their Wacoms with iPad Pros, but they're all going to have one as an auxiliary drawing device. The technology is simply too good. Honestly, it looks more accurate than a Wacom.

Most styli slot into the device so you don't lose it. I don't think apple have considered where users are going to keep that little plastic pen. At $99 a pop, you aren't going to want to keep losing them.

A stylus pen is the same cost as an apple TV....

Yeah no.
If you are going to DebOOonK an expert then you have to at least provide a source with credentials of equal or greater relevance. Even then, it merely shows that some experts disagree with each other.
