Hi Kangaroony,

I personally like the idea of there being a Dome or Thick Atmosphere above the earth which helps explain a lot of the lighting anomalies we see on a Flat Earth.  See the picture below of Melbourne and Perth with and without a Dome.  You'll notice the dramatic edges it creates with the sunlight.

Thanks Trillion.  I'm on it.

I'm using Stellarium.com to try and understand the movements and relative movements of of Steller objects.  It's a bit tedious but if I find something compelling I'll let you know!

I'm taking about the height of land, not it's distance.

Hi gwrox007,

I'm not an expert in any sense with land measurement.  The only argument I can make for FE is that any "assumptions" you make when calculating long distance would need to be questioned.  Such as - is the horizon level actually level or is there some kind of distortion we haven't accounted for.

And using your 8inch per mile formula, is it possible the original formula you were given is off and this merely corrects for that.

Trillion I need to continue this conversation later when I research more into this idea.  Thanks for your input, hope to speak with you soon.

Right, you raise a good point...  I guess what I'm suggesting is that the "main asteroid belt" has asteroids higher in the sky and are the 'stars' which you are referring to.

Based on your observations I'd say some Asteroids are lower in altitude then others.

And the Round Earth explanation for seasonal changes is a good one and that's all I can say.

Hello Guys,

I have an exciting new theory to present you all.  I've been pondering the image of the Night Sky above us and have been trying to Map out what the stars, planets, and even Galaxies look like above us.  So far, my best guess is that the sky is a representation of the traditional solar system as seen above us, but much smaller in scale.  Attached is a preliminary picture:

Source:  https://space-facts.com/asteroid-belt/

The stars and constellations are actually members of the Asteroid belt!

In order to make this work a few things need to happen:
1)  The earth needs to spin once every 24 hours in order to get a full view of all the constellations during the day and night.
2)  The earth needs to wobble once a year in order to account for a Second circular motion all the constellations make once a year.  Thats why you see some constellations in winter and others in summer.

Lastly, I've looked into what the Dome might be made of and came across this interesting article...http://www.utahpeoplespost.com/2016/01/physicists-solid-metallic-hydrogen/

Quote
"Theorists have long predicted that extreme pressures combined with mild temperatures should cause hydrogen to turn the normally clear gas into a glossy, grayish, metallic solid."

This is the kind of material that would allow light to reflect around the atmosphere.  Hydrogen is abundant in space and I assume once it hits the earths atmosphere the necessary pressure is produced.

"The case was one that local and national Republican leaders touted last year as concrete evidence of voter fraud. Even before Election Day, then-president Donald Trump had already been pushing baseless claims that the election was rigged against him, something he would continue to do for nearly a year more."

I stopped reading once the editor starting adding his own personal beliefs..

When your looking across the earth you cannot see the sun or other Low Altitude objects because of distance, perspective, and atmospheric interference.  Thats why some stars cannot be seen in the south from the north and vice versa.

If this were the case, how come I can see a sun set below the horizon?

I just moved a flashlight slowly away from this dome as I looked through it, and sure enough I saw a perfect sunset.  When I removed the dome, I could see the flash light again.

You seem to be looking through some sort of dome on your mousepad from space. Not from earth.

I know I haven't been able to look through the dome and work everything out yet...  But I think the potential is there.

However, looking through a glass dome, you can see high altitude stars more clearly from the edges of the earth then at its center... See example:

Literally zero footage of Shatner. How am I supposed to believe he went to space?

Yeah I didn't understand that either.

First, unless uea police officer, it can be tough to understand what the job is like ..

Second I know they say " I'm going on a tour of duty" like the military and do admit to fleecing people with tickets sometimes.

Now, beyond that I'd say they are above average humans.  They don't really go looking for trouble, but like anybody, depending on who's on the other side of the phone, it can be tough to know what's right and wrong in the short time they have to assess the problem.

Your Theory about the Sun and Moon 27 day Rotation and Orbit sounds similar to "Mutual Tidal Locking" we see with Pluto and its moon Charon:

"At half the size of Pluto, Charon is the largest of Pluto's moons and the largest known satellite relative to its parent body. Pluto-Charon is our solar system's only known double planetary system. The same surfaces of Charon and Pluto always face each other, a phenomenon called mutual tidal locking. Charon orbits Pluto every 6.4 Earth days."
