After having saved so much money buying a reasonably spec'd (https://forum.tfes.org/index.php?topic=15637.0) gaming PC, I want to throw some money away. Should I buy the Valve Index kit? (https://store.steampowered.com/sub/354231/)
Pros:
- It is amazing.
- It would force Rushy to buy one.
Cons:
- $999 for a box that straps to your head with a couple fancy joy cons.

Why don't you ask our resident expert in sound financial purchases, Rushy?

He specifically told me no already, because he would be forced to buy one.

Why didn't you either buy a better monitor or a CPU with more threads if you had money left over?

I mean, I can afford a 9900K/2080ti/(other expensive parts here) system and a top end monitor with my discretionary income. But I don't have all that much time to game anyway so I wanted to find a good balance on performance and value. More threads or a better monitor won't let me experience VR. I want experiences.

Get the index and tell me how good it is. I'll end up getting one, but not until Summer of next year.

Get it, well worth it. I still wish I'd waited for the Index instead of spending more money on the vive pro but it was still well worth it to me at least. Although it really depends on what kind of games you like.

Get it.
